The only downsides about Xero is that the the user interface is a little clunky, not as sleek. There also could be more tutorials or "help" features to make onboarding and getting used to the program easier. Though of course I haven't consulted much of the customer support, so I'm sure they would be more than happy to help me walk through any issues or questions I have! Xero takes so much of the stress of bookkeeping and accounting for sole proprietors away! Before Xero, I was up to my neck in spreadsheets and computer folders keeping track of my income, who I was paid by, what expenses I had made, etc. Now it's all automatically accumulated in my Xero dashboard, where I know that - with the press of a few "reconcile" buttons, I can easily keep my records clean. I cannot wait for tax time next year, when I'll just be able to run a few reports and input data, rather than spending hours calculating expenses and write-offs! I would appreciate having access to more reports. We've noticed an issue where some texts are not delivered to recipients, and often there isn't a clear explanation for why this happens. While some reports provide helpful information, others make it difficult to determine the reason for non-delivery. Sage InTacct is a little large for all our uses. I adopted this system from my predecessor and I was not really trained in the full functionality of the tool. One thing I don’t like about NetSuite is that it can feel pretty complex, especially for new users. The interface isn’t always very intuitive, so it takes a while to get comfortable and really understand how everything works.

One of the biggest problems NetSuite solves for me is reporting and overall data visibility.
