Blog Software

Typically, Blog is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Blog Software.

Many personal and professional blogs are created and tracked through website developers that perform the back-end processes of website development so users can build sites from easy-to-follow templates. Blogs fall into the G2 categories Web Content Management (WCM) and Website Builders. They ensure those without extensive development knowledge can have a space in the world wide web without learning complex code or HTML. Some of these tools can integrate with ecommerce platforms to enable users to turn their blog or website into an online store. Many are free at the base but offer users the opportunity to pay for a more in-depth subscription, purchase a domain name or gain access to more themes and templates. Website builders and WCM platforms can also offer analytics and search engine optimization (SEO) tracking features to help users understand their audience demographic. This, in turn, helps users make informed decisions that can foster online growth.

WordPress.org is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. They like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

“The art to create any website”
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

What I love about WordPress.org is the freedom it gives you. You can customize just about anything—whether it’s the design, features, or functionality. Plus, you actually own your site, which is a huge bonus compared to other platforms. There’s also a massive community and tons of resources, so it’s easy to find help or learn as you go! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

What I don’t love about WordPress.org is that it can be a bit overwhelming, especially if you’re not super tech-savvy. You have to handle things like hosting, security, and updates on your own, which can feel like a lot. And if you want to customize your site beyond the basics, you might need to know some coding or hire a developer, which can get expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?

WordPress.org solves the problem of flexibility and control. It lets me build exactly the kind of website I need without being locked into a specific platform’s limitations. I can customize everything—design, features, functionality—and actually own my site. That freedom has been a huge benefit, especially as my needs grow or change over time. “Great Site Builder for Individuals and Agencies”
What do you like best about Duda?

I like the flex sections for when I just need extra flexibilty in one spot. I like that it can just be one section and not the whole site in flex.

I find duda easy to use, though I did go through all of the Duda university lessons, so I can't speak for people without experience in Duda.

I also appreciate the customer support. I have always had positive experiences with duda support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Duda?

I think the only downside is some of the widgets are just very limited. The one example I can think of right now is the hero carousel. I wanted more options for where to place the button and description on top of the sliding images but the only options currently are right, center, left. I was hoping for an option to pin to a lower corner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Duda solving and how is that benefiting you?

Duda makes it pretty easy for me to build websites for clients. I always run into a few limits with what I can do but so far I have found solutions. Once aspect that has been useful in the past is the templates, which allow me to bust out client websites pretty fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Support Crushes It - Program is Amazing”
What do you like best about Divi?

I have been a user of Divi for about 5 years now. Published between a dozen and two dozen websites. It's excellent for somebody like me who is somewhere between a novice and an expert. There's no coding required and it makes building a website really easy and really pretty compared to other "themes"

Support always seems to be near instant. They have a feature on the backend you can turn on so support can look at your website. They even fix problems that lie outside of divi - example being a feature was turned on in jetpack that was showing "related content" and I couldn't find the issue. (I thought it was a reading settings issue or divi theme related). Support found it and problem fixed in just minutes.

I'll never go else where. Thank you divi. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Divi?

I genuinely have no complaints. Divi does a great job Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Divi solving and how is that benefiting you?

“LOVE Content Hub!”
What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

HubSpot’s Content Hub integrates content creation, management, and optimization in a single platform. Users can handle blog posts, landing pages, and social media from one place, which streamlines content management efforts. Built-in SEO recommendations and tools help ensure that content is optimized for search engines, providing guidance on how to improve rankings with suggestions for keywords, meta tags, and more. Detailed content performance analytics help users measure the success of individual pieces of content, including page views, click-through rates, and conversions. This data integration is seamless with other HubSpot tools, giving a holistic view of marketing efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

While there are a number of pre-made templates, they can sometimes feel rigid. Customizing them to fit specific branding or design needs often requires more advanced skills or reliance on a developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is HubSpot Content Hub solving and how is that benefiting you?

Many businesses struggle with managing content across multiple platforms and tools. HubSpot Content Hub solves this by centralizing all content creation, management, and optimization within one platform. This integration saves time and reduces complexity, allowing teams to efficiently manage blogs, landing pages, and social media in one place. For teams, this means less time spent switching between tools and more cohesive content strategies. It improves workflow efficiency and ensures consistency across all channels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Efficient editing but some limitations”
What do you like best about Umbraco?

Very simple and straightforward to understand how to use the website editing tools. Allows for quick and efficient updates to be made which in my current role is beneficial as it is one less thing to worry about.

During busy periods I may be using the website editing on Umbraco several times a day and due to the ease of use I am able to do these in no time and get on with the rest of my work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

Limited customisation options with the version of Umbraco I access.

Some tools, such as editing a central blcok, can be dififcult when you have to include a lot of information/tables as some of the information is cut off in the small editing box now provided.

Difficulty adding/accessing images to use on webpage edits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Easy to Use, Perfect for Portfolio Sites”
What do you like best about Dorik?

I’ve been using Dorik to create a personal portfolio, and it’s been fantastic. The design options are well-thought-out, and the drag-and-drop editor is smooth and straightforward. My website looks polished and professional, which is important for showcasing my work to clients. One minor downside is that I’d like a bit more control over certain customization aspects, but it’s still more than enough for a visually appealing site. Also, their customer support has been great whenever I’ve had a question. Dorik is definitely worth checking out if you want an efficient and easy website builder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dorik?

Dorik isn’t currently designed as an e-commerce platform, so if you’re planning to set up an online store, you’ll likely need to look elsewhere or try to connect it with third-party e-commerce platforms. This limitation could be a drawback for users who want an all-in-one solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Building an Astro starter kit using Hygraph as the content backend”
What do you like best about Hygraph?

From a content perspective, Hygraph is relatively easy to learn and use for non-technical staff, especially compared to other CMSs on the market. It offers pretty much all the features you might need, including prosaic but handy integrations with platforms such as Netlify and Vercel meaning that a static site build does not have to be triggered everytime a document is updated / published. As I'm working with Astro, the new Hygraph content loader that enables you to use Hygraph data with Astro's content layer is a great addition to the developer experience. This means your front-end templating code is typesafe and can be consistent across different data sources. It also means Hygraph's API is nicely abstracted away from your front-end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hygraph?

Working with GraphQL is not to everyone's liking and this certainly makes setting up more complicated queries to work with Astro's content layer a little more complicated. However, the set up is pretty much limited to your config file in Astro's content folder, allowing you to use Astro's built in methods to fetch and display your content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Hygraph solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hygraph offers a fully-featured headless CMS that lets you (as a developer) easily decouple your content from the front-end, allowing for greater flexibility when it comes to your tech stack and deployment options. Away from the technical aspects of development, the authoring experience for non-technical uses is straightforward whilst offering a great deal of flexibility and powerful features / integrations. “Impressive!”
What do you like best about Selldone?

It's hard to say what I like "best," because there are a LOT of things to like! I love the customer service, for starters. When I was just a free user, if I had a question and clicked the "chat" button, I actually got an answer from a real human, not just a bot. That was the first sign this is a great company.

Once I started using the Enterprise Solution I realize just how comprehensive the platform is, without plugins! I've used Wordpress and Wix before. Wix has been easy, but very limited and not functional for growing into a large business. Wordpress is clunky and requires a lot of plugins for true functionality. Selldone is laid out very uniquely and you can tell the developers but a lot of effort into making it intuitive.

I haven't yet tapped into a fraction of what is available to me. I am anxious to keep going! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Selldone?

I am a self-taught web builder and not very experienced... so having interactive training videos would be welcome. In other words, Start with clicking this (and then it waits for you to click that). Then click this (and it waits for you to click that). I think for most users, this would be unnecessary. But for me, it would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Morphic?

I had been delaying upgrading my website because I was worried that it would either be too expensive or time consuming or both. When a friend told me about Morphic I jumped in right away and got really excited that I could see my business site coming together before my eyes and I'm not a designer at all. It made lots of decisions and set things up so I didn't really have to work too hard or make many decisions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Morphic?

Initially I thought the designs seemed a little too minimal (I have a fun branded business), but after it explained the designs in the Design Walkthrough, I understood what it designed and really liked it. It was easy to expand upon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Morphic solving and how is that benefiting you?

Morphic seemed to understand my business and design for me. It also provided some design and website best practice explanations that was above and beyond what I have come to expect from website builders, but I think this is actually more like a smart design platform than a website builder where you have to be the designer and do it all yourself, which usually doesn't end well. “Great customisable experience to tailor it for your use cases”
What do you like best about Sanity?

One of the great things (among other very great things) is the ability to customise the entire editing experience for the content and data of your business. Sanity makes very little assumptions about the type of content you need to create, and allows for easy creation of content types and interface structure.

The onboarding by the Sanity team was very well done too. A number of sessions were organised to showcase several features of the editing experience for both content editors as well as developers. This made for a smooth integration into our application landscape.

Our content editors are now using it on a daily basis much to their liking, and we will enjoy working with Sanity in the future as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sanity?

Since Sanity doesn't make any assumptions about the content or data in the system, you have to think about a number of cases yourself. While this may sound as a bit of a downside, it also allows you (or even forces you) to make some very deliberate and thoughtful choices regarding your content, structure and interface configuration, making for a better editing experience in the end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sanity solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sanity offers both a user and developer oriented platform, which is fairly unique position in the market. The ease of configuration of Sanity allows developers and consultants to make deliberate decisions that best suit the uses cases for the business and the CMS' end users. This allows for a quick start with integrating the platform, which in turn can lead to a fast time-to-market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Wix?

Wix's customer service is, by far, their most appealing quality to me. By far the best, most responsive and willing to help team I have encountered. Every platform has flaws, but at least Wix is always available to help. It is also one of the simplest platforms to create a website using. Very user friendly, so I can quickly educate my clients how to use it. They provide numbers of good features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Wix?

When adding items from another source, customisation options may be limited. For Example, if you intended to utilize it as a platform for an integrated database, it is not necessarily compatible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Wix solving and how is that benefiting you?

“The only web design and production platform that does everything”
What do you like best about Webflow?

I don't even know where to start. After trying other platforms such as Square Space, WordPress, Wix, and Go central, there is no question on my mind that Webflow has always worked better for me. I love the way it helps me create fully responsive sites for my clients, with the ability for me to offer customer editing/management, built in, database functionality, and virtually any interactions and animations I can imagine -- all under one comprehensive universe. I also love how easily I can put my work on a staging environment, then publish live quickly and easily, after my clients' approval. Webflow makes the platform intuitive, and has a remarkable number of training videos and documentation available. It also seems like the platform improves every month. There is so much more I keep discovering every time I work on a project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

I only wish Webflow would offer an easier way to get creative firm discounts. Right now "certification" is the only way I can see, and that has been difficult for me -- I always JUST miss a passing grade, and never have the time to focus, study, and retake the certification tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about PICS.IO?

Great customer support, fast responses. Very easy implementation; we were up and running in a day, and the learning curve is fast, plus, online support is always there if you get stuck. The feature rich interface is customizable and polished. We have a lot of digital assets, and they get increasingly hard to manage as we have expanded our team. Having a good "DAM" is essential for keeping our workflow going and saving time searching for content. Our team utilizes this interface multiple times a day, it is an essential tool for our productivity. Being able to preview every file type (apart from a Zip file) is amazing. There is even integrated editing software for those that don't already have something native on their computer. Ai option for keyword generation, publish for public or keep files save for internal use only. The list goes on and on. Highly recommend PIC.IO. JC, Director of Product Development Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PICS.IO?

Hosting costs, so we moved hosting to Google Drive but we kept the PICS.IO interface Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PICS.IO solving and how is that benefiting you?

Speed of locating assets, ability to preview almost any file type without having to have dedicated software native on a local machine, there is even web-based editing software. Organization of assets. AI generated Keyword population. Lower interaction between departments for content as team members get used to looking on the DAM (PIC.IO) first and just doing a quick query before sending an email or making a phone call as they have the same access as we do for finding such an asset. This process saves immeasurable time and frustration for all parties involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We enjoy having a dedicated team at Northwoods who takes the time to listen and understand our institution's goals and ideas. Their customer support is unmatched. This personal approach has helped improve our site well beyond what we've ever been able to accomplish before switching to Titan CMS.

Titan offers so many useful features that allow us to customize our site and present our content in dynamic, engaging ways. The process of creating new page layouts is easy and efficient. We felt fully supported throughout our implementation, even with on a very tight deadline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Titan CMS?

My experience using Titan CMS has been overwhelmingly positive, and the team is always working on enhancements and new features. A few items on my wishlist include the ability to add version descriptions when publishing a page for use in the version history tool, as well as the ability to schedule a publish for a later date. What problems is Titan CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

Titan is helping us create more customized page layouts that better convey our content to users. It has helped us build a more integrated user experience with events and news, as we were able to bring these elements in from previously external vendors that did not communicate well with the rest of our website.
