Blog Software

Typically, Blog is a capability of a variety of other G2 Software categories. See more below to select the

best Blog Software.

Many personal and professional blogs are created and tracked through website developers that perform the back-end processes of website development so users can build sites from easy-to-follow templates. Blogs fall into the G2 categories Web Content Management (WCM) and Website Builders. They ensure those without extensive development knowledge can have a space in the world wide web without learning complex code or HTML. Some of these tools can integrate with ecommerce platforms to enable users to turn their blog or website into an online store. Many are free at the base but offer users the opportunity to pay for a more in-depth subscription, purchase a domain name or gain access to more themes and templates. Website builders and WCM platforms can also offer analytics and search engine optimization (SEO) tracking features to help users understand their audience demographic. This, in turn, helps users make informed decisions that can foster online growth.

WordPress.org is web software you can use to create a beautiful website or blog. They like to say that WordPress is both free and priceless at the same time.

“Can be clunky and might need a better server, but better than other similar solutions like WIX”
What do you like best about WordPress.org?

So, I am using this platform since 2017. My first startup was Heapooh and it was all about blogs. It is easy to use as I could just upload a Soledad theme and be done with it and just customize it to my taste.

I like that we can integrate not just php, but node.js and combine other JS technologies rather than just be stuck with Wordpress plugins. In fact, I used chatgpt to create some plugins and they worked well for my Wordpress.

I have three sites like now and it is all Wordpress. It integrates well with wozcommerce if you want to sell and have some cool integrations for mail services and payment systems like square and stripe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about WordPress.org?

It is too heavy. I have a dedicated cloud server and it still feels slower than Wix and shopify. Also, lately the free part is missing and most plugins have useful features that are paid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is WordPress.org solving and how is that benefiting you?

1) You can upload themes and you do not need to design on your own.

I personally use Soledad and Newspaper theme. It is on 12.7 version now.

I can use some other builders like Elementor and Gutenberg which is great.

2) Rank Math and Yoast SEO are great to rank organically. I like Rank Math better.

3) Rocket Loader might give a boost to the site.

4) Easy cloud flare integration is a must mention.

5) Easy to integrate this thing with wozcommerce and include mailing services and stripe payment gateway.

6) No more coding and actual work done and require less then a day to setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“I've found HubSpot's Content Hub to be pretty user friendly for our limited use”
What do you like best about HubSpot Content Hub?

We only really use the landing page feature. The drag-and-drop interface of the landing page builder makes it pretty easy to quickly build landing pages for our events, gated resources, and resource sharing. I love that we can adjust the layout for mobile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about HubSpot Content Hub?

Landing page templates can only be created with the design manager, which causes a problem from a branding perspective. Our brand evolves continuously, and any time we want to make even the smallest change to one of our templates, we have to get help from a 3rd party vendor to tweak the code or learn how to use the design manager ourselves and hope we don't accidentally break anything... “Excellent Developer Headless CMS”
What do you like best about Sanity?

Very easy for a developer to understand. Most things can be done using the built-in data models or integrations meaning it only rarely requires custom coding. The fact that if you do want to do something custom you can is nice as well. I have implemented Sanity for several companies/projects now and if you do the data modeling work well then its excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sanity?

Because of its developer focus it can lead to over-engineering at the cost of the content creators experience. Further the data modeling REQUIRES coding so this is not a no/low code tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Sanity solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sanity is incredibly effective at creating omni-channel content. Compared to pure website solutions this offer you a much more robust opportunity to use the same marketing content wherever you meet your user. Further since you can add custom code so easily you can almost always integrate with even obscure third-party or internal tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Umbraco?

What problems is Umbraco solving and how is that benefiting you?

“Google Workspace streamlines team collaboration and productivity tools all in one place.”
What do you like best about Google Workspace?

What I really like about Google Workspace is how everything works together so smoothly. Whether it's Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, or Meet, it makes collaborating and staying organized a breeze. The integration across all the tools helps save time and makes it easy to access everything from anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Workspace?

Sometimes Google Docs has minor glitches and doesn’t work properly, but it’s not too often. Also, they raised the price this year, which wasn’t very convenient. Another downside is that there’s no live support or chat to contact a support agent. Recently, I needed to reach out for support, but there was no direct support email or chat, and the community forums and guidelines didn’t help resolve my issue. It would be much more convenient if live support was available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Workspace solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Workspace helps us centralize everything we need. We communicate through Gmail, create documents, sheets, and reports without needing to pay extra for Excel, PowerPoint, or Microsoft Word. Google Meet is also very convenient for video calls, and we benefit from numerous integrations and the ease of using SSO for seamless access across all platforms. “A decade with Duda- Review from a frontend developer freelancer's perspective”
What do you like best about Duda?

I've used Duda for a decade now, and I must say their editor is getting better and better. New ways to create sections and improved overall user experience to create a fast and responsive websites.

I have experienced using before which is called Duderino. Then comes the flex 2, and now the new editor 2.0 is the newest one. I really loved this platform, that I don't even look for other work if it's not a Duda. I worked with multiple big agencies that only uses Duda as I have almost a decade of experience with it.

I am using Duda for a decade now! What I love about Duda is the simplicity of the Duda dashboard, the Duda editor, and how to publish and unpublish the site. With their new rollout of features with AI and image SEO, I must say, it is easier to use now than ever!

My role then was as a senior web developer, now I helped Duda agencies to scale using Duda. I built websites for them and it is always a breeze that you can build a site in a day!

Years before, there are no feature like collections, now it's much easier to connect your data of records to your site and create dynamic pages that is SEO optimized by Duda. It's a great built-in feature from them, the way you can connect widgets(if you have widget access) from the collections, and use it with Dynamic pages as well.

I am happy as a freelance Duda web developer and it helped my business and my clients' business to move forward from other CMS! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Duda?

My best skills in Duda involve developing widgets, so I think there should be a way to unpublish a widget. Having a list inside a list is not possible as of now, which is one of the things that sets me back for new widget development.

Sometimes, Duda's blog is limited to its design layouts. Also, editing one sometimes loads super slow. I had this one site that I am editing blogs, and it took 10 seconds to respond. Not sure why, and I haven't contacted support yet about this.

I don't like the renaming of the Editor 2.0 they renamed rows as section, its kinda confusing the users as they have already know the rows and columns combination name for so long.

While I love having new features, their Duda flex isn't very clear or easy to use and is sometimes buggy; for example, I click on a device and start working on it, then I hit the preview button, the spacing and paddings don't look the same as I wanted them to be

It would be beneficial if their developer's documentation is updated and matches the current things, as sometimes I refer to it, and things do not add up.

I also do not like the documentation with external app for REACT as it is outdated examples found on their page Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Duda:

Don't hesitate to use or try Duda. They have the most powerful editing tools and most likely you can build sites at faster rate than other site without being confused of the interface. They have created many themes/template that you can use for your clients. It always upgrade as they have a quarterly road map of features that they follow and integrates it to the platform. It is built from react.js so it is faster than other website builders out there because Facebook was the one who built react.js Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Duda solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mostly tech stuff, where our clients want us to display information coming from a server or a spreadsheet.

Additionally, limiting features for website such as search and filtering with Duda collections and dynamic widgets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What truly sets Selldone apart is how streamlined and intuitive the platform is. Everything is built-in, so you can focus on building your vision without worrying about constant add-ons and hidden costs.

What do you dislike about Selldone?

Honestly, there’s not much I dislike about Selldone—it’s more about me taking the time to learn the platform. As someone new to this, there’s a bit of a learning curve, but that’s to be expected with any robust and feature-rich platform. Thankfully, the team has been incredibly helpful and responsive, making it easier to navigate and get the hang of things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Selldone solving and how is that benefiting you?

Selldone is simplifying the process of launching and managing my multi vendor platform by providing everything I need in one place. Unlike other platforms, where I’d have to rely on multiple apps and integrations to get essential features, Selldone’s Enterprise Plan comes fully equipped, saving me both time and money.

I love it because is incredibly versatile and works perfectly with WordPress and most plugins, which is a huge plus. “Great platform — enabler of productivity and design success, sometimes unreliable pricing”
What do you like best about Webflow?

It's really a world-class website builder that couldn't have been imagined a few years ago. As a platform it's made recent strides such as Tokens that brings Webflow's model of creation closer to the reality of web development, which makes it an easier sell and integrates with other existing design systems or assets. I don't even prototype or design in Figma, I just go directly into Webflow such is my level of dexterity Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webflow?

They do change their minds a lot as a platform. Seat pricing for one seems to be always shifting and requires juggling of users. There are also a few semi-basic features which are not yet on the platform (unknown reason) — such as inability to nest CMS's (which is huge for blogs, video repositories, events to be shown on websites). And in general, unless if you are an enterprise customer, support is not great. You are forced to use community-sourced forums which are often poorly maintained or don't resolve issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Webflow solving and how is that benefiting you?

The main issue with website builders is that they are very inaccessible for most people. You need to be a developer, the technical framework of a website is confusing and illogical for marketers who need to use it every day. Webflow allows you to define these processes and data structures yourself (within reason) so a website can be set up in any way that suits your business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Honestly, and i know this may sound lame, but I cant think of anything. It really was so easy from having a vague web site concept in my head, to a fully functioning professional site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Rocketspark solving and how is that benefiting you?

I needed a professional looking website and I have very minimal web design and builder skills. The page preset templates and easy 'box' design of the pages made it so easy to add and edit content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Very easy to use and has a lot of out of box capabilities”
What do you like best about Titan CMS?

I like the ease of use and the fail-safe type work system. Something that was accidentally done can be undone pretty quickly with no adverse effects. The file management is so much easier than CMS sites like Wordpress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Titan CMS?

I think the ability to search images or files more easily would be beneficial to know if we have duplicate items or something that indicates a duplicate item. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Titan CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?

The ease of use, web templates, and ease of implementation. Our past site would cause issues that were not easy to fix, having to spend hours to fix something so minor because the system just wasn't good. We can make mistakes and correct them quickly, whereas before we had to really overanalyze and plan to avoid small web flow issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
