The different dimensions (Classes, Departments, vendors, Customer etc.) are split in different applications. If it can be merged into one single application - "Company", it would be more easy to use.

My role in the accounts payable process - processing bills.

One problem is our billing software does not allow us to process multi-currency bills (Ex: Base currency of entity - USD, vendor bill currency - EUR) accurately, which Sage intacct through its multi-currency billing feature allows me to process bills with the live exchange rates based on the bill dates. It's difficult to see how much PTO or Vacation I have used. I would love to see that metric available always. In order to find that info, I have to run a report and manually calculate how much time I have charged to those categories. The biggest downfall of Costpoint is planning. It is still a little buggy but if that is the worst thing of the whole system that is not bad. The rest of the system is great. Another area that Deltek needs to integrate into Costpoint is Cobra the project management system (EVMS). I believe this is in the horizon in the next 2 years but the fact this is a stand alone system and not integrated is painful when you get a new project and have to set-up instead of having it feed from Costpoint to that module. The biggest problem I am solving with Deltek is Indirect Rate models and ensuring rates are built properly to ensure Incurred Cost submissions can be prepared and turned into DCAA timely. This is a huge problem to solve if you are in excel and need to get out of excel. I have a system that now ensures the model from DCAA has everything properly recorded based on my accounting system. There are minor enhancement requests we have submitted for FloQast compliance: adding filters to some of the compliance screens; being able to link narratives and controls across different audit projects (corp controls vs IT controls, for example). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Abound for our tax filing purposes, especially 1099 filing and the related TIN verification process.

When it comes to 1099 filing, we have been able to easily integrate their API with our core backend systems. This allows us to automatically file documents, handle corrections and voids with little to no manual work. As for the TIN verification service, it is very fast and straightforward to use, which helps us reduce the risk of errors and ensure compliance.

Our company facilitates peer-to-peer lending and we are perhaps the largest in the country. So naturally we handle a large number of transactions on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. This leads to a lot of data being generated. To manage and reconcile this data, we are using Kosh. To keep tabs on company money, send out invoices, and manage our bookkeeping, we utilize FreshBooks. Because of it, we have been able to automate time-consuming and error-prone tasks like repeating invoicing and tracking overdue payments. We are now better able to see the company's financial health and make strategic decisions thanks to the transparency of financial reporting. It facilitates a plethora of tasks, including expense control, budgeting, report review, invoice creation and sending, and payroll processing. Overall, we do have significant complaints about Acumatica. I would say we would like to see more low-code/no-code workflow capabilities across the platform. We are leveraging Acumatica to be our primary accounting system as well as a basis for our operational client billing and management sytem in the Home Care industry. We are using the Field Service components along side of the project accounting aspects plus we are significantly extending the product with the Acumatica development platform. With ClearBooks the Accounting & Bookkeeping process has become much simpler and chances of errors have reduced significantly. We are having some issues with our timesheets, but we did some customizations to correct that and now it looks like that's one of the things that Vann is putting for like automatically adding the holidays. We are looking for a solution for our CRM, which is currently on vision and we may be upgrading to vantage point so they were gonna be some challenges with that. We are also having an issue with pay when paid

Overall, our experience has been positive, but we’ve run into some occasional UX delays. We’re used to getting data instantly, so any delays can be a bit frustrating. This might be due to the heavy calculations happening in the backend, especially with our transaction volume. Still, it’s a minor issue compared to the great support we’ve had. The mobile app doesn't yet support businesses which have multiple currency transactions. This is something they're aware of and are working on. I've been using this for 9 years, new features are far between. I wish there were more external integrations, as well as a visual editor to produce custom styled invoices. Try it, you'll love it. Even if you're not well versed in accounting, the layout makes for easy management of your business accounting. For more complicated entries, I've simply relied on a quick call to an accounting firm and took care of the entry. So even more complex entries are well handled. One of the biggest headaches with our old system was that a single customer could have only one ship-to address. Customer support can be difficult to work with, whether it’s their staff not knowing how some features work, providing incorrect responses, or giving canned answers for the wrong issue. I feel like they've improved over the past year, but it’s still a challenge.
