The drag and drop system facilitates the development of simple games, or you can create the outline of a game in a short time, to then develop it further. You can even make a game without knowing practically anything about programming, and this is very good for beginners as it allows them to understand the basics before moving on to the introduction of code. It has its own programming language (GML) which is very easy to learn since it is very similar to other languages, so the learning curve is quite low. The interface is very intuitive.

Gamemaker is an excellent piece of software that not only helps in making development easy but also quick. It has a lot of tools and technology and overall, the simple coding method it provides also makes it very easy to use. Creating 2d games using game maker is a piece of cake.
