Wamp server is very easy to configure . when i worked on many websites using php with back end MySQL and Apache , i used wamp server. It's GUI is easy to use. To start to stop the server i can user the server button stat/stop. When ever i want to use MySQL i can use start button to start the MySQL server. I would like to recommend to my colleagues to use the wamp server, which we can configure the bunch of technologies at the time and we can use when the we want by using the wamp GUI. I worked n different frameworks on PHP like Joomla, word press , code igniter , drupal and magneto , In all the frame works while i developing the website i used Wamp server to run the websites on the local environment.

I use wamp server in a daily basis for testing stuff locally and then deploy it on server, it has a lot of configurations to meet your needs.
