The speed of typing, macros and efficiency boost you'll receive by learning a few keystrokes is worth it!

Having a powerful and fully customizable directly in the terminal is the biggest plus for me, and the reason I've still not moved to any newer editors that have come along. The customization and plugin landscape is great, and being able to pull my config quickly on a new machine - even a remote virtual machine - means that I can be comfortable anywhere.
