I love the translation feature! It makes it easy to communicate!

I love the fact that I only need to write the message in one language and it will send it to families in their preferred language. I can set up the preferred language by family and then type in what I need. I speak three languages and this saves me a ton of time. The families report it is understandable and helps them to feel a part of the community. I love that it works with Microsoft or Google Spreadsheets for easy input. This has been a wonderful addition to our schools.

Talking points is a great app! It allows everyone in schools (teachers, nurses, secretaries, counselors, etc) to communicate important information to parents of multilingual learners and know that their message is being understood by the caregiver. It also allows the parents to respond back to school personnel and not fear that their message is not being communicated because of a language barrier. I have had numerous parents thank me for "texting" them in their native language. This has been the first time that many of them have ever felt understood and have felt encouraged to respond to the staff at school about their child. The instant connection that occurs when parents feel connected to the school is priceless. Thank you Talkingpts!
