The fact that a lot of people in my field use it as well, so there is a big support system and online community to turn to. The more professional versions are faster too, but you need to pay more for them.

I appreciate the ability to select statistical tests from a dropdown menu rather than having to code. This feature makes STATA very easy to use, but there are also youtube videos and other STATA resources that clarify when needed and can help ensure that you are performing the correct tests. I also like being able to quickly get basic statistics on my data sets, which are also easy to import. It is also helpful that graphs can be changed manually once they are generated (i.e. changing font/size, colors, labels).

I think that Stata is the best statistical software for microeconomic research. The commands are intuitive and doesn't require a lot of complicated coding.
