I've used SoundCloud for 6 years and I love that the site allows music creators to easily upload their music for free (with paid options that have more features) that includes a sizeable limit to how many tracks you can upload on a free account. I've also recently discovered their paid option to have your track mastered by Dolby Audio. This is a great feature for up and coming musicians.
I like how with SoundCloud I can post and share my audio content in the form of podcasts, music, recording (like notes), etc. I can use the platform to stream my audio, share it (like file transferring), or simply a housing depot for my audio. The site is simple and easy to use. I appreciate that they have kept consistent site design, and when they do make changes, they aren't so drastic. This makes the learning curve less steep. The platform also is designed for community engagement. I can make friends, follow other artists and connect. This is crucial to me growing an audience but also finding other content that I might not otherwise discover. It's essentially social networking for the "Audioverse".
