Having used Sewio for the past few years I can say the biggest positive about this technology is the high degree of accuracy (Within 1 foot) combined with the ultra-high refresh rate. The combination of these makes it a world class real time location system. Since Sewio uses UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) it can be installed in very harsh environments. One of my biggest concerns about choosing the correct RTLS technology was battery life, Sewio uses what’s know as Time Difference of Arrival to determine location, using this method it enables the tags to not only last a lot longer but allows you to track over 1000 items at once. One of my other requirements for choosing a RTLS system was scalability, with Sewio I can easily expand the system by adding extra readers to grow the system over time.
