Quizzez is awesome - I use it to leverage The Testing Effect in my classroom

It is very engaging. I use it to leverage the Testing Effect. This is a body of research out of educational psychology that shows that one of the best ways to learn anything is to take a test. the research is very robust it even shows that you learn when you take a test on a subject you know nothing about.

Great for Warm-up, Closure, and Review

Self-paced whole group quizizz works great for a warm-up. Kids come into the room, sit down, and are eager to compete. Instructor-paced is better than Kahoot because questions and answer choices can be longer, up to five answer choices can be used, and pictures can be used more easily. Being able to assign activities as homework is an added bonus! These tools also worked really well from the virtual setting. My warm-up procedure didn't have to change.

Better than Kahoot

|Quizizz
I love how students can go at their own pace, and I can set questions and answer choices to randomize. My students love the power ups to earn more points and get lifelines to answer questions. There’s a leaderboard that fosters competition, but when students want to see what they missed, they can see their missed questions at the end. As a teacher who doesn’t like to reinvent the wheel, you can also transport questions from other users so you’re not spending as much time writing questions.
