There are two things I really like. First, any post (notes or question) can be pinned and can be assigned to a folder. This helps users to filter old posts by specific topics. Second, posts can be anonymous or public.

Piazza enables students to post questions to their peers and professors in a user friendly way that improves learning. If one student has a question, others can benefit from it.
