nopCommerce is open source so everyone can customize it any way they want. The development team is active on GitHub and replies to questions and issues. By default it pretty much everything someone will ever need and since the development team is pretty active it will remain a good choice for a long time. Relatively recently they embraced Linux so that helped lower hosting and administration costs. The Interface is nice and modern but the administration area can be a bit too much for inexperienced users, however there's the option to disable some stuff and make it easier for those users.
