Most computer viruses are for Windows, with Linux Mint that goes down in history. - It has a friendly interface, very similar to Windows. If you come from there, the transition will be very comfortable and easy. - It is efficient in managing the resources you have on your computer. It doesn't matter if your computer isn't state of the art; it is assumed that there will be an excellent use of resources.

LinuxMint is Debian-based, so it can run most Debian and Ubuntu software packages. It's super-fast. I install it on single-core computers or old reconditioned PCs and laptops because it boots really fast on them and the setup takes just a few clicks. It's always mantained and updated and everything works well out of the box. It also includes audio and video drivers so media will play out of the box.
