The main thing I like about Mint is, that it is very user-friendly and customisable, most of the useful apps are preinstalled in the OS, and the Software Manager is also really good.

I have been using mint for almost 5-6 years now, and I can certainly say it is one of the most developer friendly distros out there. Not as customizable as gento, but being derived from Ubuntu, it has all good things of Ubuntu but more beginner friendly sometimes.

I would say everything....i would love to suggest everyone who wants a simpler environment and also who is just focussed on development.
