It serves a lot of purposes for me. We can work as a team by working remotely, even from different countries, and uploading the website content is always what I like about it.

If if you find yourself continuously committing code to gitlab, then why not using it to host your website or product landing page as well? It has all the basic features to host static-only websites, and you can attach a domain if you want.

What I like the most is the possibility of deploying a website and testing it. Very useful for testing performance, code, etc. before taking the website to production. It is also useful for publishing portfolios.
