GitHub Copilot

146 reviews

GitHub Copilot is powered by a combination of large language models (LLMs), including a customized version of OpenAI’s GPT that translates natural language to code and additional models from Microsoft and GitHub to further hone and improve upon results. Available as an extension for Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Neovim, and the JetBrains suite of integrated development environments (IDEs), GitHub Copilot works alongside developers in their preferred editor, where they can either type as they go or write comments to get coding suggestions. As a result, developers spend less time creating boilerplate and repetitive code patterns, and more time on what matters: building great software. GitHub Copilot was developed with security, privacy, and responsibility in mind. GitHub Copilot for Business never retains customer code from prompts or suggestions. Only users who are on an individual license and choose to opt-in will be retained. Additionally, users can enable a mechanism that blocks suggestions that match public code, even if the likelihood of matches is low.

A well structured application for deployement and progress tracking

the thing i like the most about github that we can track that how many days we have visited the github. we can commit the changes in someone's code and contribute to open source code. The ease of implementation for first time users is great.

GitHub useful in tracking software changes

GitHub was easy to use for me to upload new transaction files and compare changes to a main file. Then the system would give me a file of the differences. This allowed me to just make the changes without having to figure out what the changes were. After I updated the database, I merged the file into the Main to be ready for the next file with new transactions. I was able to keep a copy of the field, so I could recover at any point if needed. I am part of a Software Development team and all the Developers use GitHub here to manage/track/document any system code changes for several systems.

Best tool for seamlessly manage and merge code

I personally use Github in my company to save the Customer's custom code review by my manager and push the changes in the Git Repo. This is best in this scenario because it also distinguish the change like what was the code before and what changes you made in the code.
