The speed, performance and the ease of use are the best features. Plus the ability to resize the emulator screen is an added advantage. Also support for camera is very good. The ability to integrate in a continuous server is simple at the same time powerful. The IDE plugins make it even more reachable. Command Line support is exactly in support of most of the android developers.

First, maybe it's worth mention that I'm not a native Android developer, but I've been building a lot of Android apps based on Cordova (you know, hybrid app with web stack toolset) and hence, have to find ways to make life easier.
