FreeCAD: Powerful, Flexible and Free — Ideal for Hobbyists, but Clunky UI & Slower on Complex Models

I’ve been using FreeCAD for designing simple 3D models and small parts mainly for 3D printing. The best part is that it’s free and open-source, yet still offers a good range of CAD features like parametric modeling, file import/export, and basic design tools. I also like that it supports different workbenches, which makes it flexible depending on the type of design work. For basic engineering or hobby-level projects, it gets the job done without needing expensive software.

FreeCAD: Feature-Rich, Customizable CAD at No Cost

The best part about FreeCAD is the cost, but a close second is its feature set and the way it behaves exactly how I want CAD software to work. I also like that you can write Python scripts to interact with models, which lets you tailor the workflow to fit the way you work.
