Fleetpal Inspect is fleet inspection software with a free tier for qualified fleets. Free includes pre-trip and post-trip DVIRs with photos and location, truck-and-trailer combination inspections, QR scan-and-report defect reporting from any phone browser with no app and no login (English, Spanish, and Ukrainian), basic inspection templates, a defect triage queue, and 24-month photo retention. Electronic DVIRs are explicitly authorized by FMCSA effective March 23, 2026; Inspect's DVIRs are built around 49 CFR 396.11 and 396.13. With the full Fleetpal platform, Inspect becomes the front end of your maintenance system: failed items become defects, defects become work orders, and closing the work order closes the defect — plus annual DOT inspection records, technician certifications, AI-assisted VMRS coding, condition reports, Samsara and Motive telematics sync, and webhooks and API access. Free access requires an application and a short phone verification: US or Canadian commercial fleets with 30 or more active power units.
