Eracent provides IT asset management and software asset management (SAM) solutions for enterprise customers.
IT-Pedia® is a curated, comprehensive library that provides a single, easy-to-use source of detailed information about current and legacy IT products of all types, including hardware, software, IoT and mobile devices, and network, telecom and environmental equipment. The continuously updated library helps streamline and automate the process of creating, populating and updating CMDBs and service catalogs, procurement systems, asset repositories, SAM tools, and other systems. It can also be used to support product refresh cycles and IT security initiatives. IT-Pedia contains non-discoverable information about millions of enterprise products and the myriad of versions, packages, and variations in which they are offered. Each unique product record is comprised of detailed attributes that are essential during the IT planning, budgeting, purchasing and maintenance phases. These attributes include (but are not limited to): • Hardware makes and models • Software versions, license types and programs • Vendor-provided naming conventions and product descriptions • Manufacturer and reseller product codes, SKUs and UNSPC classification data • Physical dimensions, weight, power utilization, and other characteristics • Product End-of-Life and End-of-Support dates (licensed separately) • Open source library and component details for security, obsolescence and license risk management • Vendor details, and much more. Why is IT-Pedia essential? • The “enrichment” data that the library provides is typically not available via discovery tools • The information in procurement records is often incomplete and inconsistent • Gathering product attributes and end-of-life data requires a huge amount of manual effort and searching of many sources.
Eracent’s SBOM Manager™ is a standalone module of the Cybersecurity Management Suite™ (CSMS). SBOM Manager provides a well-rounded set of data, reporting and analysis features that help organizations minimize risks and comply with cyber mandates and directives. While SBOM Manager provides value to in-house and commercial application development teams, it is also unique in its approach to meeting the requirements of organizations that purchase or subscribe to software from numerous publishers. These “software consumers” will have to manage dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of SBOMs for products that they use, and this is impractical or impossible to do one SBOM at a time. SBOM Manager is based around a centralized, single-source repository of libraries, components, and other related data from SBOMs. It saves considerable time when a vulnerability is reported since it eliminates the need to review SBOMs individually.
