DataTables makes it easy to create a grid that looks good and brings a lot of functionality with the ability to extend the DataTable with their plugins. My favorite feature is the ability to use server-side AJAX calls for the interaction (sorting, paging, searching).

Datatables is my go-to tool for setting up large tables on websites for our clients. Table data can be provided in many ways, e.g., via HTML, via Ajax calls. Extensions allow additional functionalities such as setting up advanced queries (SearchBuilder), downloading the table data as Excel spreadsheet, CSV etc., editing the data (Editor), etc. In addition, many different table styles are supported and can be customized, allowing a consistent look and adjustments to client requirements.

Datatable would be very nice for project with simple usages, like small tables with very common needs. Like most solutions, it allows people to quickly setup nice look tables.
