If you like people > corporations, ‘old school’ customer service, & NO CALL CENTERS-pick Winpharm!

When I decided to get a new POS, I called about 10 companies before I picked DataScan. Of the first 10, about half of them sent me to some form of a call center. I through those companies into the ‘NO pile,’ and scheduled interviews/walk-throughs with the remaining 5 companies. I vetted the remaining 5 companies based on the following criteria: 1. How much they felt like a human company. I left PDX because they felt more and more like a faceless corporation with each successive year. 2. How ‘malleable’ their POS was. Malleable as in both their willingness to tweak their system, and how much their system could be tailored to fit my particular pharmacy’s needs. 3. How tech savvy the system was. 4. How positive were the reviews from other pharmacies. 1. HUMAN TOUCH: I can say with almost near certainty, you won’t find a more human company. I felt an immediate bond with their VP, Sarah Callioras, after she did personally conducted my initial walk through, and the subsequent follow ups prior to me signing. She was willing to answer every question, no matter how tedious. She was and is today (4 months in) always accessible, and never pushy or ‘salesy.’ DataScan also sent out 2 techs to guide us through our first week of conversation. Something almost no other company offers. 2. MALLEABILITY: DataScan is constantly changing and evolving. They put out new features monthly, and have made more changes in a few months than by previous POS did in a decade. The workflow customization for each pharmacy is also beyond compare. If you want to simplify the process of filling Rx’s, and not scan everything 20 times, they are able to change the workflow to meet your needs. If you want all the double checks, and prefer the scans at every step…they have a workflow perfect for you as well. 3. TECH SAVVY: We save hours utilizing their unique delivery system process. Audits, which are now part of my daily life, have never been easier. This system was very obviously built by, or in conjunction with, a pharmacist. All the strange bells and whistles you can imagine are offered, and located exactly where intuition guides you. I can’t say enough about how easy it was for my staff and I to learn the system. 4. REVIEWS: Prior to being a customer, I was blown away by all the positive DataScan reviews online. Looking back, I find it easy to understand why so many pharmacies were compelled to share the love. I am now proud to count myself among them!

Productive Software; Collaborative support

The best part of running this software is the people and philosophy they carry. From sales, onboarding, engineering, billing to support departments, all of the teams are very helpful. They genuinely want to figure out ways to assist and make the application adapt to business needs. We have engaged with Winpharm on several occasions looking for assistance or ideas for change. Once we are set in workflow, the software cruises on auto-pilot. No issues or need for constant engagement.
