It support multiple compilers. It is open source cross platform. compiling c,c++ is very easy.

So quick and easy to install! I think it is a great IDE for C++, easy to understand and navigate, and especially good for beginners. Good for opensource work in general.

This is by far the most user friendly compiler for a user such as a student programmer. I never had trouble using it and it was very similar to Java ide which wouldn't be the same for visual studio when I programed in c or c++.
