I liked how it’s easy to schedule resources in CloudAvocado. Also, it was very helpful in detecting underutilized resources. Rightsizing recommendations are very useful too, I use them often. Another very convenient thing is to see resources from all accounts and all included regions in one list to build cost allocation reports.

It was very easy to save a lot from the very beginning. As soon as we’ve tagged all of our environments we could turn existing instances on and off automatically according to required schedules. Then we used tag-based scheduling to apply a schedule related to a specific tag automatically for each new instance assigned with an environment tag.

Cloud Avocado has been a game-changer for me. It has allowed me to allocate cloud costs for teams in a multi-regional environment, giving me more control over our cloud expenditures. Additionally, the ability to see expenditures per project has been invaluable for identifying areas of waste and determining where resources require more attention. Hourly breakdown of CPU and memory utilization also have been extremely helpful for righsizing purposes.
