CentOS: The Ultimate Operating System

CentOS offers exceptional features in an operating system, such as seamless team account creation for shared login across multiple users and customizable snap GPT settingds. These features have significantly enhanced my workflow. The platforms user friendly interface and smooth implementation of features make it a standout choice for many users.

Great OS but it is end of life.

CentOS is a stable and reliable Linux distribution based on RHEL. Being an open source product it is free to download and use, there is a strong community and being built on RHEL framework it is well tested and uses the familiar yum/dnf package manager.

CentOS - the enterprise Linux for everybody

CentOS is a community-based enterprise version of Linux, which is essentially Red Hat Enterprise Linux but without Red Hat's proprietary items. It's functionally compatible with RHEL. It gives you enterprise Linux with no cost.

What is CentOS?

CentOS is an Enterprise-class Linux Distribution derived from sources freely provided to the public by a prominent North American Enterprise Linux vendor. CentOS conforms fully with the upstream vendors redistribution policy and aims to be 100% binary compatible. (CentOS mainly changes packages to remove upstream vendor branding and artwork.) CentOS is free. CentOS is developed by a small but growing team of core developers. In turn the core developers are supported by an active user community including system administrators, network administrators, enterprise users, managers, core Linux contributors and Linux enthusiasts from around the world.
