Carbonmade's free version is excellent. I never felt pushed to purchase the add-ons - only after years of happy usage I decided to upgrade. I'm no graphic designer, and the idea of making my own website has always been daunting - carbonmade is just the right amount of guidance and gives room to my creativity too. I've been using it for 8 years !
