Robust and Powerful but Sometimes Overly So

There's so much you can do with Axure. To some degree, it reminds me a little of PhotoShop just in terms of its complexity and power. When you want to prototype particularly complex interactions, this is a great tool to use. I'm not sure if there's a better tool out there for interactive functionality.

Easy to use and efficient

Overall, I think Axure is a great tool to use for wireframing. The tools are easily accessible and anyone with little experience to expert level can use this program. They also offer a free 30 day trial so you can try it out if you are trying to decide what to use.

Tool for creating high-fidelity prototypes

Axure RP has a lot of features that allow you to create high-fidelity prototypes. You can import any and all types of artwork, you can customize colors and styles, you can even do a small amount of logic and programming to get a very customized prototype. Once you have completed your prototype Axure turns it into a clickable webpage that you can host locally on your machine or host on the web somewhere. Having it hosted on the web means that you can share your prototype and conduct remote usability testing. Overall, Axure is a very powerful prototyping tool.
