Basic4android is a simple & open-source platform for building my android applications and I can include many components without much complexity. It converts my Java bytecode into Android runtime code during compilation itself which is useful and time-saving for me. When I work with large projects, it allows me to implement incremental compilation in which I can append libraries and dependencies as required.

I like B4A because it has support for external libraries, so it is possible to reuse Java code. It is open source software. It has a wide community of users, so there is a lot of interesting documentation for the development of different apps. In addition, Visual Basic and B4A are very similar programming languages, so the learning curve was very short since I am very fluent in that language.
