Advanced Custom Fields Pro provides access to powerful WordPress functionality allowing designers and WP site builders to [more or less] easily create custom post types and to add a wide variety of, what else, customized data types, such as images, links, URLs, etc. to posts. It's a scary border to cross but once you realize what you can do with ACFP, particularly in pulling in dynamic content, it's eye-opening and empowering. There's a free version but any WordPress implementer who wants to become a developer should pony up for the dev version which is a very reasonable, one-time 100 bucks for unlimited sites and a lifetime license. I would not be surprised if this changes, however, since the model is subscription-based these days.

This is the best plugin for creating easy template pages for your wordpress site. I couldn't live without it.
