I use ActiveWords mainly for text expansion—that is, typing an abbreviation and expanding it to a phrase or even a large block of text such as an email signature block—and automatic typo correction. The program's basic functions can be enhanced with many add-ins available at ActiveWords.com. The program also has a scripting language that increases its power.
