I've used a number of different movie editing platforms, and Moovly might be my favorite, for three reasons: 1) the built-in access to free stock imagery and videos, and 2) the ability to collapse sections of film into "clips", which helps keep things better organized, and 3) the ability to quickly record audio right from the software. I wish there was more stock imagery/videos, and I wish the paid stuff (iStock by Getty) wasn't always pushed to the forefront. I also wish there were more animation options - for example, I wanted the image of a piece of paper to move from one part of the screen to the other, and I wasn't able to achieve what I wanted. Most of the animations relate to enter/exit movement. Something like PowerPoint has would be great - having an image travel along a pre-set path, for example. Also, sometimes the software can be slow to respond.

I now have hesitation with this platform, and don't feel like I can recommend it.

I had to modify my video for a next-day presentation, and when I re-downloaded it, the first 15 seconds of it were pixelated to the point that I could not use the video in my presentation. I re-downloaded it 8-10 more times, and each time, it came out pixelated – as if something was going wrong with the rendering. You can only download your video 50 times a month, so each time I’m downloading to check this issue, I’m eating away at that 50-download allotment.

I posted on Moovly’s Facebook-like Help site, and also put in a ticket. I got a response to the FB post the next morning, “It’s been fixed!” I download the video, and it has in fact been fixed. But then I notice that I screwed something up in the video, so I fix it and download again. The issue is back. At the time of this writing, I don’t have a quality video for my presentation today, and this is a big problem for me, and I’ve now burned up 15-20 of my 50 downloads as well as a lot of time wasted trying to resolve this issue.

This experience makes me feel like I can’t rely on the end-product, as much as I like the movie-building itself. If I can’t use the results, what’s the point? Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.

It works on the cloud, so it does not consume my computer processing power in the editing functions, I like to do editing on the move so it is really an essential feature for me.

It is an efficient and feature-rich video editing tool I really like that I can have text to speech and subtitle generation features in one app itself ( I am on Max plan which has all the editing features).

I have multiple youtube accounts but can connect only one for direct publishing, I really think they should allow for more than one youtube channels to be connected at least for the users on the Moovly Max plan.
