Helix é uma ótima alternativa a outros serviços de git porque qualquer projeto que você cria é privado e gratuito. Minha equipe e eu passamos por pelo menos quatro outros serviços e os deixamos, seja por causa dos limites no tamanho dos uploads de arquivos, ou simplesmente atingimos o limite de armazenamento rápido demais.

Minha única reclamação real sobre o Helix é que o cliente de versionamento deles (P4V) tende a apresentar problemas. Ao configurar meu repositório pela primeira vez, ele decidiu enviá-lo para o System32 em vez do destino que eu havia especificado. Perforce Helix is much more than the version control you are used to, be it Git, SVN or even Dropbox. It brings much more features than you expect: history, branching, reviews, locks. Everything in a unified platform. Análise coletada por e hospedada no G2.com.
Don't expect to use it like Dropbox, it's not as easy as dropping files on a directory. The same goes for developers used to other VCS. Coming from git was not smooth.

I enjoy the fact that minimal adoption is simple, still using git and the tooling around the base code repository management that most developers are used to. All the other tooling on top is amazing, when used properly. Without a proper adoption or internal champion, the software gets mistreated and used only for git repo usage. This isn't a fault of the software per-se, but the adoption process of the software. I would love to see more integrations with 3D modeling and audio tooling, as I work in video games.
