ACF 2021 now uses a modular approach to installing the software. I always have a difficult time determining which modules need to be installed. Previous versions included all of the essential modules which made installation quick and easy. Adobe has done an excellent job in this new iteration of ColdFusion server. The focus this time around seems to be on cloud-based application development and delivery. I wish the CF Administrator was designed more for advanced users. The "wizard" approach is great for new developers, but for a mature language, I actually preferred the old ACF 2016 administrator interface much better. I wish Adobe offered a free community edition to help onboard younger developers into the CFML space. The cost for the standard edition is daunting to many new developers or small companies.
