Whenever a technical issue arises or I need more information, it's easy to pick up the phone and talk to a real Zoom customer service representative. But it also has many very pleasant options. You can connect alone, record yourself, and use slides to deliver a training session, and you can also connect with multiple people, up to 500, which is quite nice for company meetings. It is very easy to use and the features are excellent; you can choose to turn the video on or off during the video call, mute the guests' microphones when sharing a training session with many people. I really love this tool. Zoom works just as well on a computer as it does on a tablet or mobile phone. **What do you dislike about ZoomMate?** I have nothing to complain about with the Zoom application, except perhaps the fact that it cuts off after a certain time when using the free option. This might be the only negative point in my opinion, but it doesn't bother me since we use it for relatively short training sessions or presentations. **Recommendations to others considering ZoomMate:** I strongly recommend this tool which can be used in various fields (schools, training, presentations), it provides access to enormous features, it is by far the best video conferencing tool I have used to date. **What problems is ZoomMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its features are diverse and very easy to use. I like the recording feature during important learning segments. As well the import export features allow for easy connecting to other programs **What do you dislike about ZoomMate?** There have been instances when the audio was crackling or shut off and we had to shut down and rejoin. The particular scenario was a conferencing session where one Participant was outdoors and others indoors. The outdoor members was not clear. So, I am not certain if that was a Wi-Fi issue or Zoom, but it certainly detained communication. **What problems is ZoomMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** I think Zoom having added transcription was fire! I had been exporting to Otter ai. I now know I don't have to leave and transcribe within the Zoom application. ### 30. Zoom cooperates with your calendar to inform you of upcoming meetings and this can help you keep track of any scheduling conflicts should they occur. While Zoom is excellent for conferencing, it also comes with a wide variety of tools to make collaboration possible. You can share your screen with all the participants in the meeting room as well as showcase your presentations at will. Zoom being a multipurpose software also extends to education as it provides a virtual board that you can use for online classes and training interns. **What do you dislike about ZoomMate?** I've been quite happy with Zoom overall, but as of two weeks ago, the client has had noticeable lag issues during conferences. But it comes with certain limitations such as only allowing you up to 40 minutes for group conferences. For conference calls involving clients or to reach a wider audience, Zoom allows us to stream our conferences in social media platforms such as Facebook. Additionally, I have several regularly scheduled Zoom meetings that I do not host, and I have not found a way to add these meetings under the "Meetings" tab in the Zoom app, and instead have to find the meeting link from email/messages/etc. every single week, which is a major oversight. Additionally, it would be nice if there were a few more options for polling (e.g., word cloud). Finally, the virtual background feature has never worked well for my computer, and perhaps it could be nice to make adaptive (machine learning-based) background-cancelling, e.g. by having the user identify their outline in an image and having the background removal algorithm train according to repeated user input. I would certainly do this to be able to have good background removal. Also, it would be nice if during screen sharing I could see the participants without having to have part of my screen be obscured, since I need to see to present. **What problems is ZoomMate solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have meetings with my research group via Zoom, I have social gatherings via Zoom, and I attend presentations and seminars via Zoom.
