The ability to quickly capture & share images. Use annotations all the time and appreciate the options to choose format (link, content, download, etc.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally experience some performance issues or delays when attempting to capture screenshots. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love I can take screenshots and the edit tool helps me highlight anything I need.
Gifs are a super neat tool to put short videos in emails.
Videos with camera and mic usage are great as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the tool tends to crash often and the captures are not uploaded to the cloud but it doesn't happen that often.
I had to refresh my app and lost all my favorite captures.
I really hate that red is not one of the basic colors in the edit tools and I have to do an extra click for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Annotated videos and voice capture for instructions is super helpful for internal training and education purposes, especially across teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Mac OS app can be a little buggy or slow sometimes, but it's mostly fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In Customer Success it's essential to use a recording software to connect with my customers. Especially during this COVID time where everyone is online. Emails do not cut it for complex situations. Words get lost, and situations are misinterpreted.
CloudApp allows me to connect with my customers and give them the information they need. They allow me to secure the videos with password protection.
I like the commenting feature and the automated way a popup appears that is not necessarily a web window. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use is not to the same level of other platforms. In particular, I started by using Loom video, and this was a superb experience. I think were CloudApp lacks is the ability for an intuitive platform. I feel like I have to search around for different functionality. It's not in my face to answer "How many views on the video?", "Who Viewed the video?", "How many Unique Viewers?", "How many Returning Viewers?"
I do not like the generic title of the videos. With loom I like how the titles are somewhat relevant and then I adjust them. WIth CloudApp the title seems like a file name. When I paste the link in an email it does not give a preview of the video or automatically give the title. I have to retype it and hyperlink the page.
My customers have complained that they have to make an account in order to watch my videos. This never happened with loom and is resulting in a lower view rate.
My company decided to partner with CloudApp, but these are the limitations I see as of today. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Managing a virtual team of 7 requires a lot of communication back and forth, and having the ability to take pictures and annotating exactly what you want is fantastic. We use cloudapp every day to instruct our team on exactly what we want. The software is very stable and the uploads feel like they are instantaneous. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We are on a plan where we can only record 1 minute videos, therefore we do not use this product for video explanations. However, when it comes to easier things that can be explained with a picture, there is no software better than this one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of use, unlimited storage, and DEFINITELY the ability to record videos with voice-over. People are delighted when they receive a personalized video, and CloudApp makes that unbelievably easy for anyone to do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I struggle to create full-browser-sized GIFs. I wish they had shortcut keys for recording videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that links are automatically copied after you screenshot an image. Makes the process of sharing images (without copying files) fast and seemless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the gif recording was as easy to use as the screenshots. I use it a lot less but selecting the screen every time really slows things down Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's very user-friendly. It also works on a Mac, which is really what my restriction was with finding a free screenshotting tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Free version is more basic than other free screenshotting programs. It's not worth paying for, but I'm disappointed because it's CloudApp makes their free version intentionally difficult to make you have to pay for the better version. But literally, I just want to take a screenshot and occasionally be able to put some words or draw an arrow or circle over the image. I recommend CloudApp just makes their basic version the same as SnipIt. If I had a PC still, I'd use SnipIt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use CloudApp on a daily basis and I find it is the best screen capture and recording tool that I have used. It's great to use to provide client or VAs instructions with the ability to annotate removes any confusion and streamline processes that otherwise would require a back and forth dialog. It's fun to use the GIF tool and annotate images for social media. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At first, it was a bit buggy but they have come a long way in improving this tool and making it stable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

CloudApp is super easy to use. I use it on a daily (even hourly) basis. It is very quick to take screenshots and screen recordings and allows me to communicate with my team efficiently and effectively. (a picture says a thousand words) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't think of anything that I dislike about CloudApp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
