Variety of options to upload different asset's. **What do you dislike about Zeplin?** At times the syncing process doesn't happen correctly. Need to quit and restart the project to see the new updates. **What problems is Zeplin solving and how is that benefiting you?** For a mobile app development recording all ux design and assets in one common place is a very important part and that's something this tool handles really well. ### 2. With Zeplin, the styles are NEVER missing. Actual CSS, color scheme is part of the design spec. Something inline with the actual browser style inspector. **What do you dislike about Zeplin?** Every Project needs access from the creator of the project. Would have been great if there was some information store which shows that what Devs are part of what org in company hierarchy and automatically all projects in that org would have automatic access to those projects. **Recommendations to others considering Zeplin:** Zeplin has no notion of "resistance to change" for the developers, it easy to consume it. PDFs had their era now it time for Zepline to take over creating mocks. **What problems is Zeplin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Moving away form traditional PDF design doc shared in gdrive to a one stop shop for all designs ### 3. Not so good for frontend developers **Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2018 **What do you like best about Zeplin?** Zeplin is a great tool for UXes to share and organize wireframes, say godbye to send different revisions of each view/screen multiple times, with this tool the designs are stored in a clud service wich means that someone checking them, will be always viewing the last version! **What do you dislike about Zeplin?** Is not so good for frontend developers even though the styles (CSS rules) are directly displayed in the application itself becaure those styles are sometime incorrect. As a tech lead I always suggest to my coworkers not to trust the CSS rules provided by Zeplin. **Recommendations to others considering Zeplin:** For UXers is a great tool to share and store wireframes, for developers the benefits of using zeplin came only from the fact that the app provides a centralised place to check al different designs that UX team provided, is not technically helpful since the autogenerated CSS are usually useless. **What problems is Zeplin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Sharing and storing wireframes accross the company among different teams. ### 4. They may not always translate perfectly to the actual webpage, but its a great starting point making development much faster and more pleasant. **What do you dislike about Zeplin?** As far as my experience, I don't like the way different screens are organized. It's a wierd tab view, and I'd prefer a folder kind of view, or something similar. **Recommendations to others considering Zeplin:** I'd recommend using it to easily share design mocks. **What problems is Zeplin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Designers implementing ideas, and developers using those mocks to implement software ### 5. Engineers are able to navigate designs easily and see the specifications for their project. It's easy to search for and find the projects you're looking for, and it's easy to demonstrate the intended user flows between pages to viewers. Zeplin has done a great job with creating a one-stop hub for all teams to view and collaborate on designs, as it also allows anyone to comment on portions of the design. **What do you dislike about Zeplin?** There's not really much I dislike about this application. One thing I would like to see is a web-only platform for all of the functionality in addition to the desktop apps. Aside from that, everything seems to have been working properly and as expected. **Recommendations to others considering Zeplin:** Definitely consider using Zeplin if you need an easy way to convey designs to multiple teams across the company. If you are collaborating on designs across teams, Zeplin is also incredibly helpful for that. **What problems is Zeplin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zeplin makes the communication of designs amongst teams significantly easier. Before using Zeplin, it was difficult to convey designs to engineers in a very streamlined and effective manner. Now that we are using this application, we are able to point all teams to a centralized location for designs. Something that's also really nice is that Zeplin provides the CSS for the designs, which helps engineers translate them into code significantly easier. ### 6. Given that it's an electron app that kinda comes with the territory. **What problems is Zeplin solving and how is that benefiting you?** We contracted with a designer and needed a way to store the designer's designs, styles and general style guide. I liked that it shows the design specs and saves a lot of time for designers not having to create their own design spec. It's also very easily transferrable from Sketch. **What do you dislike about Zeplin?** I wished that Zeplin is able to create like a design toolkit for all the similar design elements like buttons or text size and font. Each user needs access to the specific files a project is in. This is sometimes problematic when reviewing designs in meetings and can hinder the workflow of engineers when starting a new project. **What problems is Zeplin solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zeplin provides a smoother handoff of designs and assets and ensures our implementations are as close to the original design as humanly possible. We have found fewer errors in reviews and user acceptance testing while using Zeplin. ### 13. No need to write specifications. No need to tell them what color, what font, they can just go there and everything is marked. ### 16.
