What problems is Zeni solving and how is that benefiting you?

Cash flow and job costing is fine to understand when the project is finished, but can be corrected if understood before a project is finished. Zeni gives real-time information allowing us to course correct mid-project if challenges occur. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zeni?

Our dedicated controller's knowledge and quick turnaround of month-end close. I really like having the ability to pick my controller's brain and have someone proactively making suggestions on how to make things better or more accurate. What do you dislike about Zeni?

At the end of the day it's still an outsourced team that might not be able to see the entire business. I haven't tried this yet, but I wonder how they would do with ad-hoc reporting requests that go beyond just financials but include operational metrics that might be coming from our CRM and other tools we use. Recommendations to others considering Zeni:

If you are a small company with limited resources that needs someone to take over the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, they are great! I will test how they do with combining financial metrics with operational metrics and get back here to see how well they do with that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zeni solving and how is that benefiting you?

Zeni automates our bookkeeping, financial reporting, and bill payments, reducing manual work and improving accuracy. This allows me to focus on strategic financial planning rather than daily accounting tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

though still a startup only at 1 yr, our revenue tracking needs became to much for our prior platform, and we were going to need to move off of QBO to stay. Found Zeni and have been amazed at the speed of takeover and transition. Still in the early days, but amazed so far. What problems is Zeni solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am a small business. Tried running my books for a while. I was always behind, always making mistakes, making it so hard to figure out where i was at financially. Then I got Zeni. I have my own personal finance team working around the clock for me for 1/10th the price of bringing in my own bookkeeper/controller.

What do you like best about Zeni?

Saves us a lot of time reviewing our transactions. Pretty fast responsive time if we have questions or need suggestions. When they have questions on transactions, the spreadsheet they send me makes it easy for me to see what is outstanding and needs my responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeni?

Sometimes there's a lot of questions on transactions - some being just needing my confirmation on whether or not a certain classification is ok. It's a downside that I need to go back and comb through to find service dates, receipts that somehow didn't make it into our shared software. But, I understand they don't have 100% insight into what we're using certain vendors or software for so Zeni needs the clarification. It's more of a slight downside.
