What I like least about Zeni.AI is that it’s primarily tailored for U.S.-based companies, which limits flexibility for international operations or compliance with global standards like GDPR. The platform can also be relatively expensive for very early-stage startups, and while the AI is powerful, there are occasional limitations in how it handles unique or complex transactions—sometimes requiring manual intervention or follow-up with the support team. use of offshore resources in southeast asia can sometimes create a small delay/lag in response times during the day but it has never been an issue in the three years i've used them at our company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If you don't know what you need, start small and expand your service set as your requirements change. You can do this on an as needed basis. They have an account manager that checks in on your usage/future needs on a quarterly basis (which is helpful)

Consider the amount of time you spend with finances versus running or growing your business. Personally, I have spent collective hours every month saving receipts, answering emails, uploading files, downloading statements, and all that busywork.

Zeni has eliminated so many steps through intelligent QuickBooks Plus connections and smart software and it leaves me with a clear, easy-to-understand dashboard that can help me see our financials and make decisions more quickly and intelligently.

What do you like best about Zeni?

Dashboard is quick, intuitive and keeps me out of QBO/QB Desktop, which I despise. I enjoy the clarity it brings and bi-directional updates it provides. I also get clear budgeting/forecasting tools so that I can begin planning further out than the narrow 3-month or 6-month standard. I can get more insight into the overall picture quickly and have help with concepts that are new for me (without a strong financial/accounting background). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zeni?

Dashboard could be a little more flexible. I'm not yet able to use some of the additional built-in features and they take up space on the dashboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I had a lack in understanding of our business accounting and this led to clarity and helpful understanding of areas that need to be cleaned up, simplified and standardized. I do find their approach a helpful one for a busy startup leader and the quick turnaround time in getting on a Zoom call helps us to make progress in dealing with our finances and getting a sense of our P&L and cash burn and runway. What do you like best about Zeni?

I love that Zeni gives a financial picture in real time, and that my team is always available to answer questions and is even more knowledgeable than the CPA and Controller I had before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only problems I have are some glitches with the Bill Pay (which I won't use because of the glitches) and with the reporting. Overall, the best part about Zeni is my assigned team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I highly recommend Zeni for any business, especially e-commerce, which comes with it's own set of challenges. If you are looking for a more affordable option than hiring a traditional CPA or in-house, plus real-time financial data, Zeni is the best option I found. I had an in-house Controller who was managing an outside CPA doing our books. The Controller left and I decided to replace the CPA with a less expensive and more automated option, Zeni. "Finally, an accounting team that actually cares"

What do you like best about Zeni?

• A UI that makes sense (sorry, Quickbooks). Everything is clean, clear, and easy to use.

• The team is fast, proactive, and genuinely care about getting things right – and ensuring we fully understand where we are and where we're going.
