**What do you like best about Zello?**

The ability to connect directly and privately with the employees in the field across several properties.  

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

We thin the lack of volume on cellphones is an issue. when replacing the traditional UHF radio, my staff have reported not being able to hear in some situations. The app on iOS will log out on its own and calls were missed. I have purchased 3 different Zello type PTT devices to test in our inviorments

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

Better iOS control over volume and option (i know this an apple issue),   an interface that allows more than 1 physical radio to rebroadcast on UHF.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a property manager with several properties across the state, we can connect as one team and interact and respond quickly to most situations

**What do you like best about Zello?**

The ease of use for communicating individually and in groups. The live tracking has also been helpful with dispatching supervisors where needed by telling us who is the closest. 

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

So far we have not had any issues with the system. Maybe a quick link from the PC dashboard our dispatch office uses to the active map would be nice.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

It is a very robust system. I recommend trying it. You will be happy you did.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small transit authority. So communications is our most important need. The Zello system has solved our problem with radio dead areas as well as keeping our drivers from having to use a cellular phone while driving to contact dispatch or other vehicles.

They have a ZelloWork app that will lock down features to your business needs.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Would like them to implement the ability for Supervisor roles to interrupt transmissions currently being broadcasted. 

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

The setup is easy once you go through the instructions. Your sales rep will actually talk you through setting up the first group if you ask. The MAP history is easy to find once you know where to go, ask the sales rep and they will show you how to easily access it.

The app has allowed us to record the conversations happening between the employees in the main group in order to keep in compliance and address concerns that may be brought up

**What do you like best about Zello?**

The ability to have my staff have and use a familiar device that they always have on them has been a huge benefit.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

The biggest downside to Zello in our environment is largely that staff (myself included) often forget to sign off of Zello when they are off work or vacation, often resulting in undesired support calls from the channels they are assigned to.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to using Zello, we were utilizing a dedicated radio solution with an expensive to maintain repeater that did not fully cover the area in which we operate. Calls were often missed or unintelligible, and staff often would inadvertently leave their radios at their desk when going on a support call leaving them without a way to interact with the rest of the team when traveling around our service area.
Moving to Zello has resulted in the team always having a device capable of receiving calls, and has enhanced that communication by providing a way to send not only voice, but text and image files all within the same app.

Nothing that I came blame Zello for!  I wish there were an out of the box gateway to radio solution!

Expand our radio system coverage be tying it into a Zello PC gateway.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

Zello has provided us with a big break when it comes to communications. Our team used to have radio comms to keep operations going, which was expensive, equipment had to be kept up and also range was an issue. With zello, we have solved all our problems and have a clearer communications platform to operate on.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

There's not many dislikes. But occasionally it'll lag between long transmissions, but this is rare. We don't have any gripes with the system.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

Try it out, you have nothing to lose. This system has been a fantastic addition to our day to day operations. 

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zello has helped keep our budget down, and also reduce the weight and amount of gear Officers would be carrying. It's been a tremendous addition to our teams.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

We use zello in a hospitality setting. We have around 130 users on our Zello@work server over many departments.  We use a channel for each department.  We have been using zello for years and have never had an extended outage.  Service works perfectly on wifi and cell data.  One of our favorite features is the ability to play back messages at any time.  The app works well in the background as well as managing battery life.  Addons like PTT buttons are easy to pair and use. Support is quick to respond when needed and bugs are fixed and the app updated regularly.  There is almost no lag with messages being delivered either.  Voice quality is top notch as well. 

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Nothing too serious comes to mind.  Sometimes there  are bugs with the frequent updates that make quality of life go down, but never bring the operation to a halt.  When brought up the bugs are fixed rather quickly though.

Do it!

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accountability with radio calls as they are recorded with timestamps to be reviewed later.  We used analog radios previously and unless you were listening live you wouldn't know who was hearing what you were saying or what had been said.

The ability to know when someone is on a call and that they will get a message alert after their call.

Nothing it is great.I do you dislike this product. there is so much it can do.

Get it,, the best bang for you buck. It will make getting in touch with your employees so much more convenient.

It helps us have a more direct contact with techs without tying up our business line or texting.

Text, and voice in one application with the ability to replay messages if missed.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

It appears to drop service temporarily when switching between Cell coverage and WIFI coverage. This has caused us to miss some communications between team members.

At least give it a trial run... Product works well..

Zello does what it is supposed to do, when it's supposed to do it! We have had zero downtime with the application since implementing Zello.

The only downside to Zello for us is that our application of Zello requires an internet connection.

We are able to utilize an off site dispatcher during business hours to handle all of our internal dispatching.

I like the channel functions and the ability to maintain service in places where CB radios can't.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

It is a hassle to remind people to keep their devices charged up and turned on, but that's the nature of electronics.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

If you need to stay in touch with a team, it's a great way to do so using Push To Talk and channels allow you to select smaller, more specific groups or even individuals.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Zello to communicate as a team and have multiple channels of separate teams.  We are getting rid of our CB radios and antennas.

I really enjoy Zello, it makes it easy to instantly talk to each other!

I did have some issues when connecting to an actual radio network and talking to radios from a phone, the volume was a bit low.

Zello is reliable and has all necessary fallbacks in place to be a rock solid solution.

Zello delivers on all counts. I have no complaints.

Give it a trial and put it through its paces. You’ll likely be impressed!

We were able to unify communication across multiple teams (hotel front of house, back of house, facilities, security) on multiple devices (iOS, Android, Motorola radios) with Zello. It allows all of these teams to be able to communicate easily and for everyone to know what’s going on.

Simple interface. Advanced features for voice, text and image messaging. You can share your GPS location to an individual or group. As long as you have internet, you can communicate even when the phone network is clogged. Perfect for when natural disasters occur.

Some feature requests made through the Zello.com support site and problems reported to support reported from within the app may get ignored.

Zello is totally awesome for organizers of communities and events. It also works internationally. We have used Zello during disaster recovery and relief efforts with great success.

I'm using Zello as a bridge between my phone and our LMR system. Love being able to listen and talk from practically Anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Still trying to figure out how to reduce the lag time, but on the whole nothing major that I dislike.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to communicate under any circumstance is not only a benefit, but crucial in the EMS industry, and Zello has been the perfect solution for providing seamless and instant communication when seconds count.

 The Zillow product is very reliable .  The only time we have an outage is win cell towers are down .

Product is great.  The GPS feature drains the battery very quickly the last we used it so we had to turn that feature off.

As I always have my phone with me, Zello is always with me and I can feel assured that in case of an emergency, our administrative team can reach me and vice versa. This has been a very reasonable and economically viable solution for our team.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

The only downside is that we likely don't use it often enough to really know all its features.

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have  a multiple tiered safety team. The mid-level uses high-powered walkies on campus, however at the highest level, we are often off campus individually, as a group, or find the need to communicate in off-hours - which Zello facilitates well.

Zello gives us an affordable alternative to renting 2-wayradios for al of our hundreds of volunteers. I love the mapping feature available to Admins that allows us to know where our team members are located at any given time.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Zello does eat up battery life so you need to have users plan for that. .Also, you may encounter a bit of resistance from less tech-savvy users.

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

Jump on board: it is a great resource.

 It saves money on both the rentals and the inevitable loss and damage issues. We avoid  hours of wasted time spent chasing down missing rental gear.

Zello is easy to download and set up on all of our devices. We have multiple channels that we use on a daily basis.

We have not had any issues using zello. Whenever we have any questions they get back with us immediately to help.

We have saved thousands by using Zello instead of traditional radios that would not have worked everywhere we needed them anyway.

It gives us an instant radio communication via internet. Recorded it and help us to locate our mobile phone units using the GPS tracker.

The cost of license specially in corporate side but in personal use, I guess nothing.

You may tried on your own groups by setting up a trial version prior on buying it.

That is uses WIFI. Simple administration (however deployment is cumbersome)

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Client UI to complex for some uses, it be great to have options (talk only, simple, the way it is right now).
Missed calls do not raise continuous alarms.
Lack of integration with MDM. 
Cost for integration with other business applications too high.

Replace PTT from cell provider. 
Add real-time notifications to users.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

Zello works great for casual use and in emergency situations. It is versatile and would make a good addition to any work advice. 

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

The only aspect I disliked was that it was not always easy to set up with the individual or individuals you were working with. This may have been improved since I last used this. 

**Recommendations to others considering Zello:**

I enjoyed the ease of use of Zello and that it was overall user friendly as you got used to it. I would recommend the Zello App for walkie talkie use, instead of having additional walkie talkies that an individual has to carry.. 

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was using this to communicate at functions that I was working at, and was very useful for short communication that was necessary without having a long phone call.

It’s very simple to use and it doesn’t take long to train others on it. Because it’s easy to use,  it makes the communication between our to our drivers quick allowing our dispatchers to help more.

There is not really anything I dislike about zello

**What problems is Zello solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the Communication between dispatchers and drivers. The benefits of Zello is that it allows the dispatcher to assist more drivers and the drivers a less distracted with incoming phone calls or having to type in digits from the old school push to talk radios.

The cost of the ear piece accessories are higher then I would like. When your purchasing in bulk there should be a price reduction for accessories

Love the ability to instantly contact drivers to give and collect information. With ease of sending an alert text message is useful for private, urgent matters.  

Solo option great for busy locations to communicate effectively.

the need to adjust volume and playback level for certain individuals. Should have a better volume leveling option;

For a cab type service. no need to have CB units in the vehicles. saves space. Personalizes for the driver and also prevents other companies from accessing channels and stealing clients.

The ability to use it as a radio and the fact that the receiver receives the audio as you speak, not after you're done speaking.

The fact that you can't send a photo that you have already saved on your phone.

We love the fact that we can control many aspects of it's use and put it on just about any device.

We dislike that it doesn't have a perpetual on-site license where we can pay a lower rate for updates.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

The time saving of having to hunt down individuals is amazing.  We have multiple buildings, multiple offices in the buildings and intercoms are never loud enough, this allows a touch of professionalization to your communication needs as well.  This has worked so much better for us than walkies talkies or a phone paging system.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

The ONLY one small thing that I have ran across is other employees stating they have experiences issues after an update....but a quick restart of the computer or phone takes care of the issue.

Get it, use it, save time and frustration immediately!

Communicating with multiple people over a massive amount of space.  This saves an astronomical amount of time hunting individuals down for simple questions.

Due to being a cellular based system, signal loss was too prevalent.

Do not use this solution in mountainous regions.

Sadly, we went back to radio's since the Zello solution did not work for us.

Works well.  Zello support is very responsive when we have issues.

None come to mind.  It just works well, always.

Push to talk from the carrier required us to use a different phone than our standard.  Zello changed that.

Does not override the phone function on an iphone

Registration is a drag.  Without facebook, it drags and you have to create a facebook account.  Other than that, thats the only complaint I have

Awesome way to save money especially if your company is looking to cut down on cost when it comes to communication.

The mobile application and interface is easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

The frequency issue when use inside our trucks. It is distorted and cannot understand drivers when used with a truck running. With the trucks turned off it works just fine and clear.

Trying to figure out the frequency distortion issue. The support from Zello is good and they are in the process of figuring out a resolution.

We have been testing and using Zello for a few weeks now and it has been working great. We are going to offer to our customers along with hardware to assist with their communications.

So far not much need more testing to figure if there are any issues.

Zello is a multipurpose platform with an accessible API for using it in our workflows.

Nothing as of yet -- it is easy to use and we are able to customize to our liking!

We use it for geolocation of people, and do a lot of proof of concept work for expanding our organizational infrastructure because of its ease of use.

We use Zello to communicate with various emergency teams on a 105 acre campus.  It's easy, efficient and reliable.

On some phones it will go into standby mode without warning

We replaced a Verizon mobile phone PTT system with Zello - reduced costs and allowed team members to bring their own device instead of having a secondary phone to carry.

Zello is fairly easy to maintain once running and reliable.

It's initial setup can be tough sometimes if using an outside mic and not the app on a phone.

Hard to know which PTT hardware for my phone that works. Zello hardware list on website isn't up-to-date. There is a 1 sentence time lag using 3rd party hardware to integrate with existing old style radio network.

Easy and quick to add new users. Nice for office environment.

**What do you like best about Zello?**

Benefits of this app that you could use Zello with really low signal and for sure the best thing, that you could use it even on 2G. Because I said the main problem, that without Wi-Fi this app doesn't make any sense, but low signal is an advantage.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

That zello won't work without Wi-Fi , so once it's gone, you can't use the app properly.

It's good for group communication, which I like is that the connection is secure.

I liked that we could use it for events in our team store, students would download the app and be connected to all of the mangers so whoever was available would be able to respond to their question. 

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

It doesn't work without mobile connection, ie in an emergency situation I don't think this would help.

Had students working in a remote store without a manager and they were able to connect to us easily.

Zello is a great communication method that takes you back to your childhood. Pretend you are walkie-talkie-ing your neighborhood pal across the office.

**What do you dislike about Zello?**

Some settings are challenging to figure out. Zello will come loud out of your phone at anytime if you don't learn how to silence it when in meetings.

Quick and easy communication. Good casual method of reaching coworkers without having to call on the phone.
