What do you like best about YouTube Live?

Our mosque has multiple weekly events that we broadcast for remote audience. Pre-covid we only broadcast and record our Friday sermons, but starting with lockdown, there were other classes and events we needed to broadcast lots of events. We had audiences on Zoom, YouTube, and Facebook. Zoom is fine for interactivity, but archiving and playback are difficult. Facebook is good for reach, but not good for archiving. YouTube Live is very strong at live broadcast, archiving, and letting us edit content after the live broadcast. Our final setup ended up being a multistreamer (Castr) to broadcast to YouTube Live and Facebook. The input is either Zoom (for classes) or xsplit for live camera for sermons. I then download the YouTube Live recordings, strip the audio, and put on our podcast feed on Audioboom. YouTube Live is at the center of all this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about YouTube Live?

Biggest quibble is dealing with a prematurely ended stream. Sometimes we have issues with xsplit in the middle of an event and we have to reboot the laptop. That then ends the stream, so we have to scramble to set up a new YouTube live event. There is the option of not autostopping an event if the input stops, but we like the flexibility of having the stream end when the event does end for real. What we almost need is "don't kill this stream before 60 minutes, then OK to kill"

Another minor quibble when scheduling out future events. In Ramadan I need to schedule 30 very similar nightly events. I have an additional stream key "Duplicate Event" so that I can have multiple scheduled out for the next few days (I get the warning that I ignore that itis a duplicate event), and use a separate stream key for the actual event, which I then have to manually apply each day to the event of the day. Probably some ways I can automate it, but it is something I have to look into before every broadcast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about YouTube Live?

What I love about YouTube Live is that it is accessible as the button to go live and stream is just on the top corner. Having a feature where users can interact and as well as check the comments on live and on replay stream is something cool for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about YouTube Live?

For now, there's nothing that I dislike, although the simplicity of it is good, the settings could have more information on what it is about, what would happen if I change it. It is kind of a technical side but nonetheless everything can be found on Google and Youtube on how to setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about YouTube Live?

I like that anyone can start a live stream, If someone has some good talent and he wants to show it, so by live stream feature he can show his talents, and also during the live stream, he can interact with the viewers.

I am an esports athlete and I do daily live streams to teach my viewers how to grind and how they can level up their gameplay.

The Best part of YouTube live stream is the super chat part because there are so many streamers who are earning from YouTube only so via the feature of super chat viewers can support the streamer via doing super chats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about YouTube Live?

Monetization can be active in the early period, I mean streamers have to wait for the activation of monetization.

If monetization gets active in the early period streamers can start earning in their starting time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about YouTube Live?

The thing I adore most about YouTube Live is how people can participate and engage in real time. The site promotes a sense of immediacy and connection through various means, such as live Q&A sessions, quick comments, and direct engagement with content providers. The genuineness of live content, the opportunity to engage in dialogue, and the variety of events that are streamed—from entertainment to instructional sessions—are all valued by viewers. Unlike typical pre-recorded videos, YouTube Live creates a dynamic and interactive viewing experience by bringing people together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about YouTube Live?

Users sometimes worry about sporadic technical problems with YouTube Live, like glitches, buffering, or network issues, that can ruin the viewing experience and sometimes there is a problem with customer support too, if you need any help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about YouTube Live?

I believe there is one specific feature of the YouTube Live service that I dislike, which is the inability for viewers to share the live stream on different media. It is detrimental to content producers and influencers, which lowers the frequency of usage on Factbook, Instagram, and other social media platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about YouTube Live?

Youtube live are integrated superbly with Youtube ecosystem. That means, lives automatically becomes part of channel. It has an incredible reach, with super chats, ads, and channel memberships gives content creators like me a good monetisation option while interacting with people real time. With all of these, its ease of use makes it super handy for little under-educated creators as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about YouTube Live?

One of the most highlighting drawback of Youtube Live is its latency. With sheer volume of content and such a huge amount of similar content being on Youtube, chances of standing out becomes slimmer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
