We can have as many persons and users as we need. Addition and editing of fields of the database is smooth, intuitive, and bug-free. We can save -all- our data out of the database into an EXCEL spreadsheet. We easily generate giving statements. We an add fields to the database to indicate membership in groups, and if the membership in a group is dynamic, we can group people using Tags. Generation of directories, with pictures, is easy for all or subsets of the database. **What do you dislike about Breeze ChMS?** Some exclusive-or searches are impossible or challenging, requiring exporting the data to a spreadsheet...which isn't that tough (easy-peasy). **What problems is Breeze ChMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Annual reports, to higher Councils and to the congregation is easy. We have regular phone calls or emails with their support team, and they are always on top of it. **What do you dislike about Breeze ChMS?** Moving from another database (CDM, which was awful, and no one knew how to use it well) was a huge undertaking. I wish we had a little bit more hand-holding, but seriously, they held our hands a ton. We just have needed a lot of questions answered. Can't send emails/texts to people who have filled out a form unless they are added to the database. Not really useful for events where we know folks won't be returning, but a minor gripe. **What problems is Breeze ChMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy to keep track of members' info and find folks. The filtering and tagging system is starting to be really useful. Simplifies event registration (especially during Covid) by keeping the form creation tool inside the database. Eventually, it will help us keep track of who is skilled in what, who has been to what events, whether or not they've been through our child protection certification class, etc. ### 4. Even the "robot" support responses often provide a solution to my question. Support offers extended help to personalize the software to the needs of our church. **What do you dislike about Breeze ChMS?** The dollar amounts column in reports should be in accounting format, not currency format for better reporting view of the data. Every time I "wish" Breeze could do this or that, I work with customer support and we get it done. **Recommendations to others considering Breeze ChMS:** Select Breeze for your software and you will make a good choice. We tested and reviewed 4 other church software options and I have used two others. Breeze is user friendly, the contribution reporting a snap, sending statements easy, comparing pledge versus actual giving a good resource, and the support team is EXCELLENT so learning how to use the software quick. **What problems is Breeze ChMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reporting to leadership the totals of funds per week, without showing donor names, has saved me an extra step in accounting reporting. The ease of toggling between contribution and people helps us make corrections in member records quicker. The many "tags" provide a means to filter our reports in numerous ways without having to prepare extra spreadsheets. The benefit of sending emails to specific people on demand from within the software is a huge time saver. ### 8. When contributions are made on line using banking, credit card or text, the information is posted to the appropriate family account which is really nice. This way all I have to do is pull a report and post the total amount into QuickBooks. I have easy access also to membership, addresses, phone numbers and can run labels for the membership which is also great. I could send statements via email, but at the moment some of the members don't use computers, have email addresses, so that is not the route I use. **What do you dislike about Breeze ChMS?** I hope some day the quarterly and end of the year statement will be available to download into pdf form, although their template they have set up was easy to implement my logo into and I can change wording to some extent. Some of the changes, however, I would need to have more IT experience in order to space columns which if I could download info into pdf and then WORD would allow me more control. The statements look okay but I am not particularly pleased with columns. **What problems is Breeze ChMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** When we need to keep up with what membership has pledged, Breeze has a great set up and all I have to do is enter the first pledge amount and it maintains each contribution and deducts so when someone asks how much of their pledge is outstanding, like at the end of this year is happening, then the information is right at my fingertips. When I needed membership labels it is easy to run. On line giving, also works great to apply their giving, as noted above and has a great set up for notifying me if the way someone's name on their contribution does not match the name in Breeze, I get a notice of an unassociated contributor and I can quickly associate them with their account. Reports are run in addition to the statements so we know where we are in pledges versus contributions, etc. ### 13. I love that we can archive people who have moved out of the area or who are deceased, so that their names don't come up in reports, but we also don't lose their information. Inputting contributions has been simplified, as has the process to distribute statements; they can be emailed at the click of a button. What I like most is that Breeze doesn't have a ton of "bells and whistles" that sound great, but are unusable or require congregational buy-in to work. The platform is straightforward and streamlined, but there are also ways to edit/add processes and fields for better customization. Also, the ability to create forms, registration with payment options, and email/text groups with ease all add incredible value to this system. As a church administrator, these functions all add up to a simpler job for me and my volunteers. **What do you dislike about Breeze ChMS?** We recognize that Breeze works best for small to medium churches; if we grow significantly over the next few years, we will need to find another system. However, in my experience, as new software continues to be developed, we have found the need to switch systems every 7-10 years, anyway. But we look forward to using Breeze for as long as we can. **Recommendations to others considering Breeze ChMS:** This tool is powerful, intuitive, and simple. It may not have some options that you are used to using, but for that very reason, it has simplified our management of church data in order to make the information we do have much more usable. **What problems is Breeze ChMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** With a simple to use follow up system, we've been able to help guests connect, assign pastoral check-ins to leaders, and send out prayer requests easily. It's also been great to allow people to set up their own recurring gifts and have access to their giving history. We have a food bank ministry, which in the time of the pandemic, many people in the community wanted to donate to. To simplify that process, we were able to create a simple form where they could easily give, without having to log in or be added to our database as a guest. ### 28.
