YCharts is voluminous in the information it offers. The resources available to analyze stocks, mutual funds and ETFs is pretty amazing. Their customer service is incredible, too. When I encounter something I cannot seem to resolve, their online chat feature is always available. No other company's offering is as effective at providing the details and data that I require. Sometimes it doesn't seem as intuitive as I'd like, and it's not inexpensive. However, I do believe I receive good value for the dollars invested in it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Y Charts gives users so much more than stock, index, ETF and mutual fund information and portfolio building. It literally has statistics on everything. You want to compare the average Canadian home price vs. teh U.S? no problem. Y Charts has provided me as a investment professional the ability to raise the bar and elevate my brand and image. When I first was introduced I was a bit sticker shocked but 4 years later and I can confidently say this program continues paying for itself ten fold to win new clients and provide more insight and value to my clientel.

Furthermore, the software is so user friendly that I was able to quickly implement and integrate it into my business. The reports can be as user friendly or indepth as your require. I tunr to Y Charts every single day and its part of my daily routine when I get to the office.

While implementing any new routine or software into your practice can seem overwhleming, the customer support offered by Y CHarts and your personal customer support personal if you need anything just reach out via email and you can expect a timely repsonse. There really isn't a glaring downfall of Y Charts but if I did have to find a funstion that I would loove to have is the ability for me to intergrate Y Charts with my dealers trading platform to quickly build client reports and portfolio positionning statements. Currently I need to do this manually but with the ease of use of the system it doesn't take typically longer than 5 min. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In the year or so I've been a subscriber, YCharts continues to add more and more features and value to its offering. Its research capabilities, market insghts, and report offerings are terrific. I was a Morningstar user and fan before, but YCharts has been perfect for the level of investment research and portfolio development and management I need for my clients.

On top of that, their customer service is amazing. They are always quick to respond and extremely thorough when providing help. They have weekly webcasts on how to use the app to service clients, which are archived for later viewing.

The interface is very user-friendly. Once you get used to it, it seems so simple that you forget how tedious these tasks would be without YCharts. But even when there is something that you are not able to figure out, the chat support function will get you an answer in a matter of minutes (my problems were always solved within 10 minutes). The model portfolio tool is one of our favorites, because it is great at tracking your own holdings and it also creates your portfolio as a security in YCharts, allowing you to compare it to other funds and create custom charts and pdf reports with it. Once you start playing with the software, you will quickly see which tools are best for your practice and which ones you will end up using almost every day. The collaborative features are great in general, but the notes are a bit limiting. There is no way to streamline notes for all holdings in a portfolio and create a "feed" to quickly see the toughts of all team members on each stocks. Also, the excel add-in and its templates are great, but you should know that it is an external download, so if you are using YCharts on a work computer, your IT department might not allow the download. The solution would be to use the add-in with a personal computer, but that can sometimes be a little bit annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are several things I like, the build your own screener is probably my favorite as the screener has tons of things I have wanted elsewhere, especially digging under the cover of ETFs that I wasn't able to find elsewhere. I also like the comparison model I can use, as a lot of times I will look at two similar ETF's, and I can really get extremely detailed information on Ycharts.

I use Y charts virtually every day, and when I have a question, I get answers or the help that I need fast. I have also found the app is easy to use and integrate into my daily workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have asked to add moving averages to the arsenal of screeners, but I don't know if they implemented it. They have a few, like the 200EMA I believe, but I asked for some they don't have. That really isn't a big deal, but if I suggest adding something, I wish I knew if they ignore or implement it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Simple to use and it is cloud-based, so that really helps us a lot. The amount of information at your fingertips is incredible and comparing fund performance using the charting system is a great visual for clients. To see your model portfolios all in one area is an amazing feature as well. Y-charts constantly improves its platform by adding new tools and resources. The user interface is entirely customizable, meaning the information that matters to you is always at your fingertips. I am also super excited about the new PDF report builder, which will allow you to build fully customizable reports for clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm a converted morningstar user, and one of the hangups some members of our team have had is that Ycharts doesn't have a broadly recognized rating system, ie... the morningstar star rating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
