  ### 1. Gets the job done but is limited

**What do you like best about Yarooms?**

Yarooms allowed us to easily provide a platform for the faculty and staff to reserve extra meeting spaces within the building. It prevented a singular employee needing to manage a calendar that is shared with all users.

**What do you dislike about Yarooms?**

The layout leaves some to be desired. The limit on the number of spaces available before price bumps could have been more.

**What problems is Yarooms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yarooms provided a great platform for faculty/staff to book available meeting spaces throughout the school. Typically, a Google calendar would be created and an employee would have to manage it. Requests would come in via email and it would up to the employee to monitor those emails, approve them, and then book on the calendar. We had many cases of double bookings. Yarooms allows everyone to sign in and see what is being used and at what times.

The custemoer servcie is second to none, they are always on had to assist where required. This has been the case from Planning to operational implementation, the customer onservcie and support is exceptionial.

It is a very fast process to schedule a specific piece of equipment. It is easy to see what is available when.

**What do you dislike about Yarooms?**

I repair a lot of equipment. I would appreciate having the ability to easily tag machines as "Offline" without booking them for a specific amount of time since I don't always know how long a repair will take.

I am disappointed that there is not better integration with my other programs like Google Calendar, Slack, or Monday.

Scheduling time on specific machines (3D printers, machining tools, laser cutters) which is making it easier for users to schedule time.

Its easy to use and allows desk booking management to be integrated into Teams.

**What do you dislike about Yarooms?**

Visuals could maybe be improved (include 3D navigation of the office itself so users can see what the desks look like and meeting rooms look like.
- I would suggest to create a 'hover over the desk' message to clearly display if that desk is booked for the day and time or not i.e. Available or Booked. So users dont have to drill into the desk further to realise that it is booked then have to back out of it completely.

solving management of users who would like to attend the office, clearly displaying if there is any desks available or not, saving users journey time.

Was pretty easy to select an available space and book with no previous knowledge or assistance - the desktop site is a bit nicer than the mobile site but I hope that evens out in time.

**What do you dislike about Yarooms?**

I got an error on the mobile site when it presented a desk as available and I tried to book it the whole day - turns out, it was only available part of the day but the error didn't explain this. This was easy to see on the desktop site. I will use the desktop site when possible.

As and end user, it assists me with planning a well oriented workspace in advance.

Everything: slow, user-unfriendly, inconsistent mobile web - desktop web - application. There is no other option to book a table in the office, so I'm obligated to use it.

It has been fairly easy to use for booking rooms in our company building since our company went remote for the pandemic. I haven't compared it with another similar system, but I don't feel the need to look for one.

The first time I used it, I had a little trouble orienting myself to the map provided, but I figured it out.

It is great to be able to reserve a room when I need to work in my building. No one is competing for rooms.

Booking is easy, UI is clear and intuitive.

Once I had a booking and my colleague had booked the same place as my booking was not shown correctly.
Also will be good to keep user sessions on the mobile app longer. 
And it is not easy to login with cooperative account. That part needs to be improved.

Booking a room through YaRooms is easy to do. There are a few design choices I would change but overall happy with my experience.

The "Today" button is a little unclear and can leas users to think that today may mean that you are on the current day it is. It isn't clear that it is a button to take you to today's date.

WE use YaRooms because we work in a shared office so having a way to organize which rooms are available is really helpful.

**What do you like best about Yarooms?**

We have been lucky to have been paired with a lead developer called Luchian Mihalcea, who is highly responsive to our requests and a joy to work with. We also find that the Yarooms marketing and account teams are excellent active listeners and respond well to our specific requests. For instance, they helped to find a technical solution to resolving the issue of 'beach-towelling', where staff book a desk but fail to turn up and forget to release the desk. We believe Yarooms' high level of customer service differentiates them from their competition. We are delighted with their support to date.

**What do you dislike about Yarooms?**

There are now more solutions with more advanced features in the marketplace that integrate better with our Microsoft environment. However, as a growing international business, we recognise the importance of customer services and working with partners that grow and adapt with us rather than just being fixated on the product features. The Yarooms approach to customer service keeps us loyal, which is very good. If there is one area for improvement, it would be around the Yarooms mobile app experience, which we know the Yarooms team are looking at improving.

**What problems is Yarooms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their desk booking system takes the pain away from our facilities team from the challenges of our staff booking desks. We have different types of work-settings and desk types, including Sit/Stand desks across multiple offices. The Yarooms desk booking system makes this information easy to access and book. It also integrates into Teams and there is a native mobile staff can use. The main benefit is working with a highly responsive team who supports us in a highly proactive way, which is unusual compared to other SAAS vendors we may have worked with in the past.

We had a couple of issues with a supposed "bug". It took forever for customer service to help us, once we lost 2 days of work.

When trying to book a meeting room,  people often forget to change the hours. So they book the room only the 1st hours of the day.

**What do you like best about Yarooms?**

The desk-booking product is simple enough from a user perspective that even our most technologically-challenged team members had no issues using it! From an admin perspective I also think it's logical and we could easily make changes ourselves and control who could access what. 

The Yarooms team have been extremely helpful and responsive the entire time, once implementation had concluded we could still easily reach them if we had any questions and they've always been friendly and accommodating. We couldn't ask for more from a supplier or support experience. There have also been many improvements made to the system since we onboarded, so the product just keeps getting better and better.

**What do you dislike about Yarooms?**

I don't have any complaints! There were a couple of small bugs here and there in the implementation stages but these were always fixed extremely quickly when we reported them, same or next day. The only reason to stop using Yarooms' desk-booking solution is if you no longer need to book desks!

**What problems is Yarooms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yarooms has been our solution for booking desks on a hotdesking basis since 2020, a need that arose from the covid-19 situation. It has allowed us not only to have a record for contact tracing, but also to block off desks when needed to make sure staff were suitably distanced, and also to have staff fill out a questionnaire before they attend the office to make sure that they weren't going in when government guidance suggests they should stay at home. We were able to draft our own questionnaire for this purpose and can amend it ourselves or turn it off when we don't want to use it. We could also block dates when needed, which is something we've used during lockdowns.

We can use it to schedule the use of various rooms.

It takes so long to do anything. Lots of clicks, lots of waiting for the pages to load in order to see. It takes a long time to complete updates and entries. It's clunky and annoying to manage.

**What problems is Yarooms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is resolving the booking of spaces, but because so many people need to use it, they don't update because it's too time-consuming. If you try to book rooms for the year, there are always some exceptions, and getting the one-off days out of the calendar takes forever to open up the space for others.

I enjoy being able to see who has booked spaces so that I know who is in the office even without a set schedule.  I like that the platform is integrated into Microsoft teams so I don't have to go to a separate website with a separate login.

I wish there were descriptions of the spaces or actual pictures of the spaces available.  As someone who joined a company virtually and is unfamiliar with the office layout it would be helpful to have the additional context of the spaces I am booking. Especially for group settings.

Yarooms helps me feel like I have a place to sit even without an assigned workspace at my company.  It also helps me know who is in the office with me which helps with networking.

From an IT point of view....

Almost the simplest integration with our 365 environment I've come across - meeting room booking works flawlessly, neat individual calenders for seat booking... 
Speedy implementation - we got a thorough oversight, admin training and a bespoke user video to share with our colleagues - I think we were up and running within three days!!!
So easy to set up - editing on the map is simple; the facilities manager needs no assistance as he adds floorplans, seats, and rooms
So easy to get help - we haven't needed much, but Yarooms is fast to listen and fast to help, fantastic team
So easy to use from an admin perspective - it's just apparent what you need to do and how to do it, and the documentation available is excellent should you ever need to look at it (we didn't)

**What do you like best about Yarooms?**

What I like best about Yarooms is that is very easy to use, very user-friendly for scheduling meetings, you can schedule as many as you want and it is very intuitive, so simple to use. What I like the most is that it does not allow a person to book a whole day, so there will always be available to schedule meetings, so everyone is able to book meetings according to their needs. It is very easy to use that saves you lots of time and hustle. It is very helpful for a single person that has to schedule several meetings at once and for a while company where many coworkers will have to schedule meetings.

**What do you dislike about Yarooms?**

The only thing that I've encountered is that one time I couldn't see the images or logos so I couldn't identify exactly the room that I was looking for, then it was a little bit hard to navigate through the rooms. Plus you are not able to book a recurring meeting if it's not a weekly one, so you'll have to manage that. Sometimes, it does not tell you when a meeting has a conflict with another meeting but it will depend on how you schedule it. Other than that, I think is a great app to use.

**Recommendations to others considering Yarooms:**

To have a little patience because the site, sometimes but just sometimes can be a little buggy and slow. Plus there is a lot of scrolling and clicking to find certain rooms. Since it is getting updated from time to time, you'll have to be open-minded on what will come as a new feature, but it will be so easy to use since its functions will be basically the same.

**What problems is Yarooms solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've been using it to schedule and juggle with more than 3 meetings at a time, so basically it facilitates room management saving you time and hustle.  It has been so efficient to use. I also like that it is very straightforward, it does not complicate your existence by so many commands to use. You can also find it easy to find thanks to the user-friendly gadgets you'll find.

I love everything about Yarooms. However I hope in the near future there is a plug-in for MS Outlook. I say that because we were used to making room reservations in Outlook before Yarooms, so a seamless integration would be nice.

We're using Yarooms to display a new floor mapping that our Associates aren't used to. It'll allow them to familiarize themselves with the new floor plans and the new naming conventions for each area. Administrators can book on behalf of others, however, they can not check-in on behalf of others. This could be a handy feature for PA's and secretaries to check in on behad of their managers.
