It is a bit tedious having to set up so many different dates and parameters for the process to calculate correctly. **Recommendations to others considering Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting:** n/a **What problems is Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting solving and how is that benefiting you?** All of our clients require annual budgets. I have multiple properties that I am responsible for preparing the budget for and this software is a fairly simple way to accomplish this huge task because we spend so much time on budgets for our clients and they are used so much through the year. ### 2. It is a good budgeting tool if you are going to do budgets for multiple entities multiple times for efficiency's sake. It offers a lot of good functions if you do like to explore them! **What do you dislike about Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting?** It would take some proper training to get started. And even if properly trained, there will be a lot of little issues that you'll encounter and have to figure out later on. But considering how complicated budgeting is, I won't complain too much! And again, once you get to speed, it's like flying! **What problems is Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting solving and how is that benefiting you?** Making budgets for multiple entities with efficiency. ### 3. I really don’t feel like there’s anything that needed to be changed. **What problems is Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting solving and how is that benefiting you?** Confusion between spreadsheets and from employee to employee. A lot of wasted time re-entering vital information. **What problems is Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting solving and how is that benefiting you?** Allows to keep costs at a minimum by gauging future projects and budgets. Forecasting allows to spread cost over months. ### 5. Easy to use. Limited in it's ability to report and forecast - doesn't work well cross-platform **Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2018 **What do you like best about Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting?** The program is simple enough to learn, both ABF and regular Voyager, but is not always intuitive. **What do you dislike about Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting?** It's limited to the input it gets from users in yardi voyager - ie. Someone inputting the wrong data or not enough data during the leasing process, or simply not putting the data in the exact place yardi use to pull from. It also does poorly integrating cross-platform tools like Entrata, Popcard, Lead2Lease, etc. Leasing teams need to anticipate entering in information from prospects and/or applicants into multiple places most times and even then yardi still manages to pull the reports incorrectly for things as simple as weekly tours and leases -- let alone on ABF side of the program. **What problems is Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting solving and how is that benefiting you?** When it's the only platform the company you work for will allow you to use, you figure out a way to use it and deal with set backs but I wouldn't recommend it. You're heavily reliant on leasing teams inputting data correctly and most times they don't have access to the settings that would allow the programs to flow more smoothly. Obviously a company decision, not yardi, but the developers of yardi should be able to anticipate this disconnect. ### 8. Should customize layout a bit more. **Recommendations to others considering Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting:** Lots of tools and options to use. It looks a bit confusing due to the format, but once you get the hang of it then it's quite simple. **What problems is Yardi Advanced Budgeting & Forecasting solving and how is that benefiting you?** Storing all resident information such as rent, rent history, rent owed, balance, complaints.
