In our company, we organize various online events like yoga, marathon, cooking events where people post their achievements and team give prices. 8. You can't integrate yammer with other software, for eg pdf exchange or ms office. 3. User interface can be modernized. Offical networking is good in a way to know how the world is working. It's good to relax your mind and balance your work and office communication. I also find it great for learning new technology. No easy way to create a "home" page with the groups you're a part of or interested in. What I like most is everyone can share technical ideas. Every member can access any group in the organization without informing the admin of the group. Design is ancient compare to other MS software. This tool allows us to "check in", share news and make our company feel a bit smaller. It's also a great place for our corporate office to see what's going on in the field. We ask our sales team to post pictures of execution, displays and market wins. It's essentially a Facebook, but just for the company. At my place of work, we've had a great time sharing photos from events. **What do you dislike about Viva Engage?** Since I run internal communications, I changed my name on Yammer to be our company name, since I was speaking as the company. However, with the most recent update, I can no longer change my name on Yammer to something different than my other Office profiles, so I can't speak as the company any more. It's easy with Yammer to collaberate across a team or a big organization. The big plus is having different channels that we can subscribe to as per our likes. **What do you dislike about Viva Engage?** There is a scope of improvement for UI, and also it can be made a bit simpler. Usability of Yammer desktop app is still doubtful as I cant find anything there that i cant do on web version. **What problems is Viva Engage solving and how is that benefiting you?** When tired of working, can share my opinions and can hear my colleagues thought, this is what is necessary to maintain a healthy relationship, especially in a pandemic situation. I especially like that you can set up various communities (aka topics). For example, there can be one community set up for everyone in the group, but then there can be communities specifically to an office location or a specific interest/hobby. So let's say there are a bunch of people interested in sharing about personal travel, but not everyone is interested in that topic then a community can be set up to share travel tips or pictures and those not interested simply don't join that community. Also I like that you can set it up to notify you via email when something new is posted. Yammer has a great phone app as well as being easy to use from a computer. **What do you dislike about Viva Engage?** Not really much to dislike about the tool/phone app. Except I will say that I sometimes trip over myself trying to post to a specific community, and for some reason instead of posting, I have ended up private messaging someone the post that I wanted to tag within the post? I'm going to chalk that up to user error though, as I don't often post to yammer and so suspect it's just a learning curve issue for me. **Recommendations to others considering Viva Engage:** Yammer is super easy to use, would recommend having a process for how communities (aka folders/topics) are set up. **What problems is Viva Engage solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having moved to a dispersed work setup, using yammer allowed our teams to stay more personally connected as we set up sites that were safe office topics but not work-related. For example, sharing recipes or sharing health/workout topics - things that might be conversations that take place in a break room that now instead can take place over yammer as a virtual break room where people can pop in and join a conversation on their own time. ### 26. Yammer was easy to use - I suppose when compared next to Teams or Webex Teams it does not have the same versatility and flexibility. **What problems is Viva Engage solving and how is that benefiting you?** Collaboration was the main thing, but not only that - Yammer encouraged people from different locations (outside of the UK) to communicate with each other about everyday things such as pets, health and fitness etc. ### 34. It is convenient to search and also to navigate to specific groups (or "communities") in Yammer. It also sends email notifications which is useful to stay up-to-date on important announcments. I like that it is a central place to go to and read threads that are organized. **What do you dislike about Viva Engage?** I dislike that Yammer sometimes has some unnecessary posts that are not relevant to me but take up space on my feed. **What problems is Viva Engage solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems we solve with Yammer are to post important company announcements. For example, if there is a system outage or some other issue, then our company makes a post on Yammer which also sends an email to the company. It is convenient also to keep up with the status of issues because people post updates on the thread. ### 35. I also enocountered issues such as the site failing to load on the new version but loading using the old version. Other times individual communities would become unavailable when community members needed to access it. **What problems is Viva Engage solving and how is that benefiting you?** A problem that Yammer solves is having a central group where members can ask questions about certain topics and most likely others in that same group had that question as well. The members can also learn from each other by asking their community how to do certain tasks or what their thoughts are on certain topics. We used Yammer for a discussion board about project management and participants were able to respond to polls, answer questions, ask questions to themselves, etc. ### 45.
