What do you like best about Xref?

The ease of use - I can send a reference check request in less than a minute and the platform experience (especially since the upgrade to the new platform) allows me as a recruiter to customise as I go. We have partnered with Xref for 6 years and the customer support from the team has been fantastic and prompt. I am looking forward to the future integrations with other platforms i.e. CV Check. What do you dislike about Xref?

In some instances it can be a little more valueable to complete a reference check over the phone, however considering the time saved, efficiency and positive feedback from referees the platform is an extremely valueable tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Xref?

Not having to conduct our own verbal reference checks, wasting time waiting for refereees to call back. The fact that background checks are included, integrating with our ATS, flagging suspicious activity and their customer service. Easy to use on a daily basis. What do you dislike about Xref?

I don't like how the surveys are presented. The word count is a little strange and hard to explain to hiring managers what a good reference check looks like. Another piece of feedback received was that responding to the questionnaires can take a long time. Just something to be consious of when building the questions. What do you like best about Xref?

What I like most about Xref is that I don’t have to chase down references anymore—referees can complete them at their own convenience, which saves me a lot of time and hassle. I also appreciate the security feature that tracks IP addresses, so I can feel confident about the authenticity of the responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

One thing I dislike about Xref is that I sometimes lose the personal touch that comes with directly speaking to a referee. While it’s convenient, the automated process can feel a bit impersonal. Additionally, if a referee is slow to respond, there’s not much I can do to speed things up, which can sometimes delay the process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Regarding your comment about losing personal touch due to the automated process, we’d like to tell you more about Xref’s sentiment tool. The tool’s algorithm measures a referee's 'tone of voice'. It picks up on the referee's positive, neutral, and negative language to give you an indication of the candidate's performance, reducing the chance for a reference to be misinterpreted.

Interestingly, 65% of reference checks submitted through Xref are completed outside business hours—a feature our customers love, as it eliminates phone tag, and the referee completes the check at their convenience.

What do you like best about Xref?

Xref is a fantastic time saver - no more making phone calls, leaving messages that aren't answered and asking the same questions over and over.

I love that it's candidate led - if the candidate wants the job they will complete their references!

What do you like best about Xref?

The platform is easy to use, and the integration is straightforward. I love that there are extra features like Pulse surveys and Exit interviews. Jackie our account manager and Jonathan have both been great at providing updates and timely personable support. The best support compare to other products we have. What do you dislike about Xref?

The only thing we wish was possible is customising metrics and questions for pulse surveys along with exporting results and reports but apart from that it's a great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Xref?

As a recruiter, it is important we have an easily accessable platform for both our hiring team and candidates. Xref makes it very easy to send, complete and retrieve candidate references, and the suspicious activity flag is really beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

What do you like best about Xref?

Simple and really made our process of running checks so seamless! Saves my team hours of work a week by implementing Xref. Use this for every single person we hire and was extremely easy to implement and teach out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When it maximized contact attempts, it just says expires. A user has to contact the candidate to use a prior sent link to complete. WIsh there was an option to send a link on demand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Xref?

I've used a lot of online systems but Xref is probably the most user friendly system I've come across. It easy to navigate around and makes my job so much more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xref?

The only thing that I would say is a negative, is that to resend an existing survey to a candidate, you have to reach out to your customer contact. I negative isn't too bad really! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Xref?
