**What do you like best about Xref?**

The great part would be that the inspection are able to be done on time, though you are able to get a lot better info from the staff members than from the telephone book. When negotiating with recruiters, we include the benchmark in the recommendations of ours since we wish to be realistic about whether the benchmark is actually negative or positive as a whole, and we wish to consider the simplicity of issuing the plan.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

The sole criticism that will come to my brain is actually the failure to x-ray the candidates before they reach the judge. Nevertheless, Xref is much more quickly, therefore it's essential to remain in touch with the official.

**Recommendations to others considering Xref:**

You will not regret bringing your Xref here. Include far more information to the employment process and give them time each week.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xref has cut down our resources considerably and bored the referees playing with scattered phone numbers. You do not have to do it on a busy day for such a candidate!

**What do you like best about Xref?**

Automation and meaningful interactions with job seekers is something we all want in HR, though few solutions manage to achieve one without sacrificing the other. XREF manages this balance well and provides a clean, easy to use and reliable platform to conduct business. The support team at XREF is personable and provides prompt service giving you confidence in the process and ultimately, your hiring decisions.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

We are yet to run into anything that we did not like about XREF.

**Recommendations to others considering Xref:**

This service is great for those who are looking to save time and money within their recruitment process. Their team is supportive, their platform is easy to use and the credits you purchase do not expire. Overall a very flexible company to work with.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Referees often feel bothered during regular business hours by your phone call, they might not answer or even provide accurate information. There is also very little you can do to verify that you are in fact speaking to a credible reference. XREF provides the opportunity for these people to complete a reference outside regular hours or when they have time which provides more accurate and valid information. People feel they can be more honest to a third party and we have seen more candid feedback since using XREF. You can share this information easily with hiring managers and verify employment dates provided by the candidates directly with the referee. The platform also has the ability to flag people who may be dishonest by filling in their own references or exaggerating dates, which is very difficult to otherwise prove without this software. We have also saved a lot of our own time and money with the cost per reference significantly lower using this platform.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

For us, automation is actually the way ahead. It allows for the recruiters of ours to concentrate on finding probably the best talents rather than always chasing lost conversations. It is also great that judges are able to do things in the free time of theirs, which we do not usually have in the list trade. It is a lot more helpful when you require suggestions, particularly in our mass recruitment, though the amount of suggestions distracts recruiters from the job of theirs.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

The one disadvantage could be you drop the chance to create a brand new connection with the referee. When you believe it is the judge that you wish to speak to each of the time, then a telephone call is actually a snap.

XRef has saved a great deal of time and resources and is simple to use for administrators.

Testimonials and candidates that contact you at the proper time will enable you to create a quicker recruitment choice. This's also extremely beneficial since you are able to get very good details and compare them.

Candidates can't add additional referees after they have already submitted some. Candidates can't change things after they have submitted them. 
It would also be good to have that access on the hirer's side to change the email address if it was incorrect etc.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

It is ideal that you are able to check the references of yours in time, though you are able to get a lot more information from them than you are able to over the telephone. What I appreciated was being in a position to make sure at a check whether the website link control was negative or positive generally, as well as just how difficult it was writing about adding link control to the manager's advice.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

I don't love the loss of management which is rapidly released into the guide control process for applicants. In a nutshell, it is faster for Xref since it contacts the judge by phone rather than patiently waiting for the applicant to respond.

**Recommendations to others considering Xref:**

I do not regret the creation of Xref at all. Include an additional level to the recruitment process, and the time of yours will come again in a week.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because of Xref, dialing moment has been substantially decreased, and also issues with telephone recruitment of busy respondents. With a rather busy agenda, I don't have to cope with these elements and so I could devote time searching for unicorns with potential!

Xref has been incredibly helpful in streamlining the reference check process, and allowing us to continue to on-board high volumes of new employees.

It would be helpful if employers had access to enter referee details if the candidate has already provided them to us.

If you are struggling for the time and capacity to complete reference checks for bulk recruitment xref will be an incredible resource to help.

Allows us to onboard an amount of staff that would not be possible (or at least would be significantly slower) if we needed to call every referee for every candidate.

Xref enable and automates a sometimes tedious process for a recruiter. Xref saves time and simple and intuitive to use for the recruiter, candidate and referee.

2 factor authentication is cumbersome, if we could find a way to enable the verification to be somehow more permanent, so it is a single sign on type model.

It is a huge time saver, it also gets the referee's thoughts and reflections verbatim so key points are not missed. It also enable all parties to complete the process when it is convenient for them.

Regarding your comment about missing out on the personal touch that comes from manual calling. Xref's sentiment tool has an algorithm that measures a referee's 'tone of voice'. It picks up on the positive, neutral, and negative language used by the referee, to give you an indication of the candidate's performance; reducing the chance for a reference to be misinterpreted. 

Our reference reports include a full analysis of the feedback provided, in order to offer insights into the overall sentiment and content of the reference. This will often provide a much greater and deeper understanding of a reference’s opinion than may be gathered on a quick, conversational phone-based reference check.  I hope this helps. Appreciate the time it saves by removing the need to constantly chase reference checks, easy to use and navigate, great team backing it, easy to communicate to candidates how to operate and submit reference checks, attractive website, easy to coordinate with team and submit checks on other people's. New feature asking referees to opt in or out if they want to be considered for employment with the organisation - also potentially a great networking tool

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Uncertainty of how much of ref check form has been completed when it states "accessed" by referee, Resistance to submit ref checks on a Friday due to weekend and referee not being available - how are the referee's contacted over the weekend? To my understanding they are only notified a hand ful of times via text or email

**Recommendations to others considering Xref:**

Great way to avoid time wasting on a phone chasing up references, easy to use, easy to communicate how to use to candidates,

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time Saving as you don't need to chase on the phone for a long time, Much easier to communicate to candidates how to operate xref and how to expect to be contacted by XREF when applications have been successful, I like the new feature for networking with potential applicants

Our team is always working to provide new releases to market and based on your comments we’ve put forward a suggestion to our development team about including an ‘indicator of progress’. 

In regard to submitting references on a Friday, our reminder emails are sent 24, 36 and 48 hours after the referee is first contacted. Due to the likelihood of referees being submitted with work email domains (and not working on the weekend) we recommended that requests are lodged during the work week for the best results.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

The ability to complete reference checks in a timely manner is the most obvious benefit, but also the amount of detail we get from the referees is significantly more than in phone based reference checks (where a "good" might be seen as a way to hurry the telephone call up!). We appreciate the easy, at a glance way of seeing if the reference check is overall positive or negative, and the easy export out of the system to be able to include reference checks in our offer proposal to the hiring manager.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

The only possible dislike I could think of is that the candidate's timeliness in entering the referees is something we can't control (whereas, we can control quickly jumping on the phone to the referee). Having said that, we would be more held up by the phone tag with the referee than we ever are with waiting for a candidate's response, so Xref is overall much faster.

**Recommendations to others considering Xref:**

You will absolutely not regret implementing Xref. It will add an extra level of detail to your recruitment process, whilst giving you hours back each week.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xref has significantly reduced both our time to fill, and the frustration of playing telephone tag with busy referees. We also now no longer have to factor this into our busy days, and it leaves time for sourcing those unicorn candidates!

**What do you like best about Xref?**

We used to have to setup calls with new hire's references, but XRef takes the manual effort away - seriously! You don't need to call the references yourself using XRef or go through the time to setup phone calls. It is up to your candidates to fill their references out in the system and it will forward a set of customized questions for the referee. XRef will flag you regarding any unusual activity that has occurred from the references (e.g., same IP address used) and they have account managers there to support you. It will also compare the word count of the candidate compared to the average. It also makes it very easy to download the reference document and flip to the hiring managers.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Sometimes you may miss out on tone of voice that you'd experienced when calling references, but this is the only thing I can think of. I think XRef as just as valid as phone calls.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

XRef can flag any suspicious activity that you may not have been aware of if you were to call the references yourself. Essentially with XRef you can reduce the risk of fraudulent references. It also makes a huge difference in the time to fill a position - what may have taken a week to complete all references now is down to one or two days! Highly recommend XRef!

**What do you like best about Xref?**

We have fully switched our referee checks through to X-Ref, since implementing X-Ref we save over 20 hours a month in back and forth phone calls. X-Ref allows us to bulk upload refree checks, submit and not need to stress until its time for us to review the checks. we are assured that when we use the program any fraudulent referee checks are picked up on.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

The only thing that i dislike about X-Ref is that it currently does not link to our HR platform if we want to store the referee checks on the staff folder we need to download and upload them.

**Recommendations to others considering Xref:**

X-Ref works very well to complete referee checks in a timely manner with easy to read and review information. organizations are assigned an account team member who has regular check in's to make sure that the product is working for the organization.

We have solved the problem of needing to play phone tag for referee checks, we have been able to save over 20 hours a month in referee check processes, we have also been able to prevent biases and error when recording information which ensures when our interview panel is reviewing the referee check they are getting the most accurate information.

Xref is a very simple, automated tool to help collect references, which can be a very time consuming task. Because of the use of technology, Xref can also catch possible fraudulent references taking place. For example, if a candidate fills out a reference themselves or does not provide professional email addresses, Xref sends us a notification.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Not speaking to a reference directly over the phone can sometimes be a con - less room to dig deeper into answers they may have provided.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our HR team has been able to successfully complete reference checks with the click of a button. Additionally, we've had two (unfortunate) situations where we've decided not to move forward with a candidate because they entered in their own reference answers. Xref can track this by providing news to us that they were all filled out under the same IP address. This is alarming and not a good ethical decision on the candidate's end. Overall, this is an extremely helpful service when determining if the candidate is a good fit for our team. (From my personal experience, Lara with Xref was VERY responsive and helpful when determining how to handle one of these fraudulent cases).

Email notifications about either a candidate not providing referees' information or when a candidate's referee has completed the questionnaire. I also think it's very valuable to be notified when there is a "fraud" from a user when completing his/her own reference check.

The opportunity to finish test checks in period is the most evident advantage but the information that we get from the officials is much better than in telephone reference checking (where a "correct" can be seen as a means to speed the call!). We enjoy the convenient way to look at the overall positively or negatively reference check and the easy exportation of the system so that reference checks are included in our negotiate suggestion to the recruiting manager.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Only potential criticism I could consider of is that the nominee can't be controlled in time before joining the referees (while we can easily monitor the referee by telephone). However, we should hold up the contact tag to an official more than ever before, because Xref is much significantly faster.

You won't regret the deployment of Xref at all. It adds an extra amount of detail for your hiring process and provides you with hours every week.

Xref has decreased both our resources and the annoyance of playing telephone tags with distracted arbiters substantially. We don't have to do this in our stressful days now anyway, and it makes room for those candidates!

1) Time - growing by 400 staff over a 9 month period has put a huge work load on our talent acquisition team. Alleviating this part of the recruitment process has meant they can focus more on sourcing quality staff.
2) Quality of reference - as the reference is completed by the referee themselves, they write down exactly what they want to get their point across. With phone references, the person taking the reference can change words, or miss things that are said. So quality was a big consideration for us in choosing Xref.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

Streamlines the reference check process and saves a lot of time that would normally be used for follow up. It helps us have faster recruitment turnaround times. Responsive support and team that provides solutions and suggestions for how we can further improve our reference check process. Having an assigned customer service representative that reaches out and maintains the relationship is also a positive.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Reminder emails to candidates and their referees can sometimes be a bit too much - it helps with faster turnaround times though. When used for bulk recruitment, some referees may receive multiple requests and the number and frequency of emails and reminders they receive to complete them can be excessive.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Integration with other systems such as Taleo is being looked at. The main benefit is that it reduces the time it takes for us to complete the reference check process by taking the workload away from recruiters and hiring managers and automating it. Instead of emailing, calling and tracking each individual candidate for reference checks, we send them off through Xref and come back in a few days to check progress. Manual follow up from here is much quicker than managing that process without a streamlined system.

It allows people to fill it out online instead of a phone call.  It puts the ownership on the candidate.  It saves time and makes sure that it gets done.  It is reliable.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Because it is done online, you can't dig too deeply into things and make sure the referee is answering in detail.

Its a great way to do references!

It takes a lot of time to do reference.  It is tough to write verbatim what people are saying over the phone.  This is a more exact way to do references.
