## Xray Test Management Reviews
  ### 1. Seamless Jira Integration That Streamlines Test Planning and Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prakash C. | Developer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Xray Test Management?**

What I like most about Xray Test Management is how smoothly it integrates with Jira. Having everything in one place makes test planning, execution, and reporting much more straightforward. I also appreciate that it lets me track requirements, manage test cases, and produce clear, easy-to-read reports, which helps streamline both the QA and development processes.

**What do you dislike about Xray Test Management?**

Xray Test Management is a powerful tool, but its interface can feel a bit complex for new users. In my experience, setting up more advanced reports or workflows may also take extra time. Even so, overall it’s still a very good tool to use.

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xray Test Management helps us address the challenge of organizing and tracking testing activities in a single place. With its integration with Jira, we can manage test cases, link them to requirements, and generate clear, easy-to-understand reports. This improves collaboration across the team, saves time, and supports higher-quality releases.

  ### 2. Flawless Jira Integration with End-to-End Traceability and Strong Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omer B. | Lead SDET, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Xray Test Management?**

Flawless integration with Jira and connectivity

All the elements, such as test cases, test executions, defects, and requirements, are connected in one place.

Full traceability from start to finish 🔗

Follow the path Requirement → Test → Execution → Bug effortlessly, which is very useful for audits and increasing release confidence.

Test execution is very organized With Test Plans, Test Executions, and Test Runs, there is a clear step-by-step process of what has been accomplished. Strong reporting and dashboards. Provide quick views of pass/fail results, coverage, and release readiness to interested parties. Supports both manual and automated testing Integrate manual test results with automated test results (CI/CD) in the same system.

**What do you dislike about Xray Test Management?**

The issue at hand is related to the usage experience and functionality of the testing tool. In detail, the issue states:

- The system may appear complex to new users. There are many concepts to learn, such as Test, Precondition, Test Set, Test Plan, and Execution, which may confuse new users.
- The user interface may at times be slow, especially when a user is handling large test suites or large Jira projects. - Working with test data may become cumbersome. It may not be very smooth to perform bulk updates on a large number of test cases.

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Test case management is centralised. Maintains all test cases, their preconditions, and corresponding test sets in an organized manner in a single location.
Traceability between requirements, tests, and defects.Establishes strong links between User Stories/Requirements and Test Cases, Test Cases and Executions, and finally Executions and Bugs, so that coverage is always clear and easily verifiable. Test execution tracking Helps in planning and executing tests through structured Test Plans and Test Executions, providing a clear pass or fail result for each item. Release readiness visibility provides dashboards and reports that help to quickly assess the readiness level for release by providing the current status of testing and risks.

  ### 3. Effortless Test Management with Powerful Organization Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John E. | Agile Coach, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Xray Test Management?**

The many options for organizing, executing, and reporting on test plans and results is the absolute best part about Xray Test Management. Implementation was extremely easy, with minimal settings and configuration required for initial startup. The complexity of options and uses grows as you get deeper into the tool but that is a good thing because as volume dramatically increases, the tool ensures you have all the organization needs in front of you to keep track of large scale tests and results.

**What do you dislike about Xray Test Management?**

There needs to be more support related to use-case examples and template options for setup. Getting off the ground, in terms of daily use of the tool, took a significant amount of time, video watching, and instruction reading before our team members could fully grasp the large scale of what they were building out. A "getting started" tool may be very useful.

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to adopting Xray Test Management, our organization was tracking test plans and results on spreadsheets, uploading those spreadsheets to our workflow tools, and keeping manual records. Using Xray allows us to not only begin the process of adopting test automation but also removes manual tracking from our required labor functions within our teams.

  ### 4. Seamless Jira Integration, Powerful Test Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sai Lakshmi S. | Senior Software Test Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Xray Test Management?**

I like that Xray Test Management gives complete traceability from requirements to test cases to defects. It's easy to organize tests, view coverage, and track execution progress all in one place. I also like how smoothly Xray integrates with Jira. The reports and execution dashboards make it easy to track testing progress, and the flexibility in creating test plans helps our team stay organized. The seamless Jira integration and the ability to get quick updates on test executions and defects make it a powerful tool for our needs.

**What do you dislike about Xray Test Management?**

Some areas in Xray could be more user-friendly. The interface feels complex at times, and setting up advanced reports takes extra effort. Test execution views can also get cluttered when we handle large numbers of test cases. A simpler UI and more ready-made reporting options would make it even better.

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xray Test Management to manage test cases in Jira, providing visibility and traceability. It keeps testing information centralized and integrates smoothly with Jira, helping us stay organized and track progress easily.

  ### 9. Smooth one stop shop for testers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Swati S. | Senior Scrum Master, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Xray Test Management?**

Easy to use, easily integrates in Jira making it smooth for project managers and product owners.

**What do you dislike about Xray Test Management?**

lacks dashboards and at times becomes too comprehensive to set up

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There is no scope of missing something with XRay test management as the development requirements and testing are linked. This also gives testers a better idea about what the developer actually should create. It is like knowing the objectives of the business which gives better insights. The amalgamation of development and testing helps a lot in better coordination among testers and developers without hampering the workflow and seamless DevOps pipeline.Tests get indexed on their own resulting not only in total coverage of the requirements but also helps in identifying the issues faster than in normal cases. The beauty of XRay is their detailed traceability reports as well, which helps in locating the exact issue and thus ease out the fixing part that is too timely. In addition to this XRay easily gets integrated with widely used frameworks and codebases making it even more alluring and reliable to use.

  ### 10. Useful and configurable plugin

I mainly use Xray Test Management with the role of project manager in order to verify the requirement status of each feature and check the how the test plan and it executions are going. I helped the QA Manager in the configuration and what I can see is that Xray is plenty of features and highly customizable.

**What do you dislike about Xray Test Management?**

Xray has some built-in exporting capabilities, but probably not the best in class in terms of template. I always had to tune the export here and there.

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xray is powerful, it provides several objects and dedicated issues (test case, test plan, test execution, ...) to design in the best way your quality assurance process into Jira. This is probably why it is the best in class, it provides the right flexibility and features in order to adapt to different business realities. Advanced users can also enjoy dedicated JQL functions.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal S. | Senior QA Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Xray Test Management?**

This product integrates well with JIRA's XRay test management tool. Plus, Selenium script can be easily integrated with Xray. QA team can easily track their progress on improvement, feature, bug, or test case tickets. A great feature that Xray provides is that test case repositories can be accessed from anywhere. Test cases can be managed and executed easily with great metrics.

**What do you dislike about Xray Test Management?**

I think it's a perfect tool that provides all the features that QA teams need whether they are small or large. I think the only thing I would change is the speed in which tickets can be accessed. Also, I would like to see X-ray improve the test execution formatting.

**Recommendations to others considering Xray Test Management:**

Need to improve the speed
Need to improve test execution formatting and should provide easy test run access

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my day-to-day work, I used the Xray tool to create and manage test cases, test executions, test sets, and test plans; and I found that my quality of product grew as I tracked the progress of work over JIRA.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

- Xray Test Management, integrated with Jira Software.

- With Xray management it is easy and very comfortable to create Test Cases, Test Sets, and Test Executions.

- For manual testing, there are two types of test: manual and generic.

- For manual, each step has Action, Data (comment), and expected result.

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make visual progress of testing
Creating test sets in the test repository functionality, using tests across projects
Run tests manually, mark the status on the Test execution object: Blocked, Currently being executed, pass, failed, The test has not started

  ### 17. Works well for creating test cases, but needs a lot of guidance when getting started

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah P. | QA Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2021

**What do you like best about Xray Test Management?**

The repository is easy to use, as it utilizes drag and drop for each test case that you create in JIRA. And if you have a lot of test cases, you can select multiple cases and later drag them to a separate folder. The test execution issue type is quite useful in that you can add individual test cases, or port over an entire test plan.

**What do you dislike about Xray Test Management?**

It's a bit of a learning curve when getting started. It took our team about a year to realize that there are so many other tools to utilize, but didn't really understand how to get to that point. On top of that, Xray is different by JIRA account type, so the documentations different. If you don't find the correct documentation that applies to your company's JIRA account (Cloud, Server, etc...), you might end up reading through the wrong one, and being utterly confused.

**Recommendations to others considering Xray Test Management:**

I recommend Xray Test Management if your company already utilizes JIRA, as it is useful to link test cases to bugs, other JIRA tickets, etc...

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our QE Team is utilizing Xray to organize our test cases, log/link bugs related to specific builds, and look into previous test executions as a resource when planning new builds for our products. The traceability tool is useful as well, but it takes a bit of time to get an idea of how the team would organize their data to create the traceability reports themselves. Understanding the traceability report and building it was a bit of a learning curve for me, so I had to reach out to their support team, who were absolutely helpful people.

  ### 18. Xray test management for testing

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dinesh P. | SDE, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Xray Test Management?**

According to me, Xray is best test management tool in Jira.
Xray is the best for testing automation test and manual testing.
It's also allows us to write a test case for our products/features we are developing.

**What do you dislike about Xray Test Management?**

The only thing bothers much is the order of test cases gets disorganized each time a test execution or test plan gets created.

**What problems is Xray Test Management solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As per a Full stack developer position of mine, I have to deliver product by doing end to end testing.
Xray really become helpful in this case as it's use for Automation testing and manual testing.
