## xMatters Reviews
  ### 1. Effortless Incident Management with Reliable Integrations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob G. | Chief Information Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I manage our incident notifications with xMatters to ensure the right people know when things in production go wrong. It’s tightly integrated with our monitoring tools, so I get a single stream of alerts rather than random pings from all over the place. And I also appreciate that I can set up escalation paths, an on call schedule and notification preferences in one place and it’s dependable and it just works when a switch isn’t working.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

The xMatter mobile app is a touch more buggier than the browser but not too bad however it's importance for me to have all I need as quickly as possible (particular when your on call). And I understand that it might take couple more times to make the notification sounds as want but they should at least play it like ten times faster.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We stay on top of critical incidents with xMatters and we never miss a beat. It’s the place all our alerts go to be proactively reviewed (or, as it were, ignored) and also where we can automate alert escalation so that someone is always on call when an issue crops up. Our incident response time has reduced, just one less thing to even worry about coordinating who is on call everything runs so smooth since we began using it.

  ### 2. We found an incident management system that truly streamlines our workflow

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arnold R. | Automation Incident Manager, Automotive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I like the powerful notification templates that xMatters has. They will allow us to make very context specific alerts to our documentation team. Since we can immediately integrate it with our already existing Slack channels, we will never miss important updates or documentation mistakes that require urgent fixes, which enhances response time. Reporting features are also useful as it enables us to monitor the performance of notifications and optimize our processes with time.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

The original configuration of the custom integrations was somewhat clumsy, and there was a little back and forth with our IT department. Also, the UI would have a more intuitive search option within the alert templates that would make the process of finding the appropriate template a bit quicker. At times the mobile application notifications were sluggish such that there were delays in accessing important updates.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were having troubles with sharing instantaneous documentation updates within our international group of employees. Prior to xMatters, it was easy to lose announcements in overflowing email inboxes which generated missed deadlines. With the xMatters in place, we have been able to greatly enhance the speed with which we broadcast important messages and have everyone to receive the information promptly. This eased the process of revision and, thus, reduced significantly the time required to issue new documents.

  ### 3. Effective Incident Routing, Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ganiez P.

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I like how xMatters routes the incident to the exact person who is actually available to fix it. This has definitely stopped the infinity Fanta by ensuring incidents are handled promptly.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

The initial configuration can be a little challenging because the learning curve is kind of steep. The mobile app interface feels old school and could use some updates to navigate faster during emergencies. It's a bit tricky at first because you have to set up all your workflows, and it takes some time to get everything signed correctly.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

xMatters routes incidents to the right person quickly, stopping unnecessary escalations and ensuring swift resolution.

  ### 4. xMatters guides our incident teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Artur S. | Broadcast operations supervisor, Online Media, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 12, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

It is wonderful how xMatters manages incident ownership and escalation workflows. We have had cases in the past where alerts were acknowledged but no further action was taken, this improved with the system automatically going through the next person if there is no progress on the alert by the owner. The mobile application also qualifies as a mentioning with regards to its reliable notifications, bypassing through the noise, and enabling the on call team to see urgent alerts even when they are not in front of their computers. I like also very much how simple it is to create complicated communication plans by using the drag and drop interface and not involving a developer.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

The initial stages set forth to fine tune the event flood control was a little more difficult than expected. We had to spend additional time reading to discover how to set it up just right so as to prevent the over-alerting and/or inadvertent suppression. Functional though, the reporting could be improved with a greater customization of how they see team response time across our services. It is a common practice to export data to obtain the particular figures we require during ours retrospectives.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We finally have solved our lost incident problem fundamentally with Matters. Previously, a warning could be silenced without being resolved after a first responder attempted but failed or could not locate the correct expert thus causing a delay that is critical. Suppose when an incident occurs, it is recognized but later it stalls, xMatters will automatically escalate the problem to another department or to a superior within a matter of minutes. This formal accountability is such that all critical alerts are followed up daily till its resolution thereby making our whole operations team far more confident.

  ### 5. Operational fire drills into predictable processes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivier T. | Security operations coordinator, Management Consulting, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I like the fact that xMatters has integrated our communication channels that are very critical. It has also removed the panic of scramble in various applications as an event hits, and everyone who needs to receive the message is immediately reached. Manual follow-up has saved us many hours of time due to the ability to automatically escalate notifications according to their severity.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

The first custom notification workflow configuration was somewhat close to learning a new language. It would be ideal to have more ready-made templates of particular technical alerts. At times even the number of possible configuration choices can prove to be somewhat overwhelming to the new team members.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

During outages, we were grappling with performance of different technical teams in terms of the reporting inconsistency and response time. Since we introduced xMatters, we have set up a single incident management procedure. It implies that it detects and resolves end-user system problems much faster and thus our end-users are exposed to significantly fewer downtimes.

  ### 6. Effortless Issue Tracking and Integration with xmatters

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I've been able to track the history of all these technical issues that we've had and avoid digging up the same old crap again and I was surprised that the single sign-on did not simply fail as soon as we attempted to implement it which was not case with my previous attempts. I was also impressed that we were able to shove three different applications into xmatters without it crashing. Our tagging and categorization options are really helping us to keep track of the large number of tickets being created for the team.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

The reporting is terrible and I get frustrated trying to create my own custom dashboards to view simple data. I cannot store tickets separately by folder and/or put tickets on hold which would be very helpful when I am dealing with 60 tickets at once. The mobile application is slow and painful to use. I dislike receiving canned responses from the support staff when I am trying to report legitimate bugs.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The office coffee machine is currently screeching loudly but at least I no longer have to go chasing after people asking for status updates. xMatters routes tickets to the correct person who are responsible for fixing the ticket without requiring me to try to determine who should work on each issue. We no longer have to connect to our vpn to access the helpdesk which has been a huge help.

  ### 7. Seamless Integrations Make xMatters a Standout Choice

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I like how xmatters can be integrated with a lot of application seamlessly. Very good customer support. Sonu is the assigned person and we have been having regular scheduled meeting with Sonu for clarifying doubts and discuss new releases. Also feel that its beginner friendly easy to use and implement

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

Not Dislike but I feel some features may have been deprecated or removed due to various reason but was helpful earlier for the Team. like audit logs or activity log available for only 1 year and not more that that.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since my Team coordiantes with other team to help create workflows and solve few problem they face with xmatters, xmatters solving the same and also integration with various application solving a lot of problem

  ### 8. Intelligent Automation That Transforms Incident Response

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ankur R. | software engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

The best feature of xMatters is its Intelligent Automation Engine (Flow Designer), which connects your entire toolchain to automate and streamline incident response workflows.

It eliminates alert fatigue by using context-rich, targeted alerting to instantly engage the specific on-call experts required for resolution.

Ultimately, xMatters acts as the central nervous system for DevOps and IT operations, drastically accelerating your Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR).

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

While powerful, some users find the initial complexity and setup of advanced workflows and integrations challenging, leading to a steeper learning curve than simpler tools.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

xMatters solves the problems of slow, manual incident response and alert fatigue by providing automated, intelligent workflow orchestration, which benefits you by drastically reducing Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR) and ensuring service reliability

  ### 9. Exceptional Support and Seamless Paging

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhilesh D.

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I appreciate xMatters for its highly feasible app, which is accessible for all users. I value the xMatters workflows, as they allow each application team within our company to create their own processes, which enhances autonomy and customization. The integration with our company's SSO through IAM rules simplifies user access, allowing everyone to log in easily, which is crucial for seamless operation. I also commend the excellent initial setup experience, supported by very good assistance from the xMatters team, including regular weekly calls that ensured a smooth implementation. This support was instrumental in getting us up and running efficiently.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

Nothing

I use xMatters for paging and workflow creation, resolving our internal paging issues and providing a reliable system for on-call notifications.

  ### 10. Great Features: Smart Alert Filtering and an Intuitive Workflow Engine

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francois T. | Incident Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

The features are great. I especially like the smart alert filtering, and the workflow engine is intuitive, making it easy for me to automate complex escalations, which I really appreciate.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

The interface has improved a lot; however, for a large organization, it can still feel tedious to use.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since we started using xMatters, we’ve been able to automatically report on areas of interest while technicians are working, helping ensure that the supply chain doesn’t stop. As a result, the main benefit for us has been stronger operational resilience.

  ### 11. My review for xMatters from corporate view

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 15, 2024

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

No idea what to improve, everything is perfectly place and improve IT system uptime.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to monitor services anytime from the mobile apps. Quick response for alert that the system detecting.

  ### 12. Automated Alerts with Tough Setup

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prarthana B.

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I like that xMatters automatically pings the right person when something goes wrong, which means I don't have to remember whom to notify. It's easy to use for assigning tasks and notifying the employee if a task is overdue. I also appreciate how xMatters orchestrates all the security protocols I have designed for the company.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

The initial setup can be very tough. I feel like it could be made simpler, and maybe a demo video or session would help to better understand the product.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

xMatters automatically notifies the right person during issues, managing critical services where downtime is costly with a unified, automated incident-alert system.

  ### 13. xMatters cuts through the incident noise, pinpointing exact responders for swift action

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill S. | Customer Experience Champion, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

xMatters is very strong at filtering alerts based on utterly specific operational context, such that only the most relevant teams are pinged. As an example, a building C boiler alarm sends an alert only to the mechanical crew that services that particular building rather than the entire facilities department. The fact that audit trail is robust on each single alert is also a nice feature, it leaves an undeniable and clear trail of who got the notification, when he/she read it and accepted the notification is crucial to our compliance requirements.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

It can be quite slow in executing the search feature of the historical alert log when attempting to speedily identify past occurrences. In addition, the need to make ad hoc adjustments to smaller, specialized on call groups can be more cumbersome than it has to be, with multiple clicks being used to make changes. Finally, building out new, complex alert workflows does still require a sizable amount of backend knowledge not available in the visual builder, so certain staff members cannot fully self-service more complex requests.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had difficulty with properly sending highly-qualified technicians to emergency equipment malfunctions on a localized basis within our many properties. Prior to xMatters a cooling unit shutdown would regularly result in a mass alert, delays as teams manually determined who could respond based on location or with the correct certification. xMatters is now accurately routing these alerts, by type of asset and by location, to the assigned on call technician associated with that zone and asset. It has done away with the initial confusion and has saved a lot of time of the correct person commencing diagnostics at the exact location.

  ### 14. Highly Configurable and Attractive Interface

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sajani S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I find xMatters incredibly useful for receiving notification alerts which ensure that I can address my alerts on time, enhancing my responsiveness and efficiency. I particularly appreciate the attractive user interface and the programmability of xMatters, which allows for easy configuration, especially through APIs. These elements significantly enhance my experience with the platform, making it both visually appealing and functionally robust. Over time, I found that understanding the workflow and roster settings became second nature, showing the system's intuitive design.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

It took some time to understand the workflow and roster settings before becoming familiar with them.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use xMatters for timely notification alerts, which ensures I address them efficiently.

  ### 15. Seamless Integration and Multi-Channel Communication Boost Incident Response

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I appreciate its capability to integrate with tools such as SNOW, which enables us to respond to production incidents more quickly and efficiently. The platform also supports multi-channel communication, including SMS, Outlook, and voicemail, and helps manage on-call schedules. Overall, it has contributed to better team performance and improved incident management.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

Although it offers a range of features such as integration and multi-channel support, I found it challenging to use as a first-time user. Additionally, the pricing is quite high.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has assisted us with automating workflows, intelligent routing, and multi-channel notifications, making sure the right people are engaged—features that were missing from our previous alerting tool.

  ### 16. Prompt Alerts and Seamless Collaboration Make Xmatters a Must-Have

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** NAGA BHARAN M. | Senior SOftware Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

1. The alerting system when an INC is there, its so prompt. Also, the customization of Alerts based on priority helps me a lot in day-to-day work.

2. During our Weekly On calls, Xmatters user friendly interface is our life saviour

3. Collaborations with other teams is like a breeze

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

I dint observe any major dislikes about the product.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Platform's IT fleet has huge DBs, all P1, P2, P3 User friendly incidents configurations, seamless collaborations helps us in saving lot time. This reduces our over all TATs & SLAs.

  ### 17. Effortless Escalations, Simplified On-Call Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary H.

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I really appreciate the maneuverability of the xMatters app, which provides accurate escalations and enhances ease of use in high-pressure situations. The automation of escalations effectively removes issues associated with manual interventions, saving time and reducing stress. I also found the initial setup process to be very simple, allowing us to get started with minimal fuss.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

I find the review of the scheduling format between leadership and engineer views to be lacking.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use xMatters to automate escalations, eliminating manual intervention and ensuring accurate responses in high-pressure situations, while simplifying on-call scheduling.

  ### 18. Outstanding for Streamlining Incident Management and Communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fabio M. | IT Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

This tool is outstanding for streamlining the entire incident lifecycle, starting from the initial alerts to managing communication across multiple channels. It helps save valuable time during critical moments.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

Setting up the initial integration and configuring the workflow can be a bit time-consuming.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's incredible. This platform is essential to my work, as it helps reduce the average time needed for recognition and resolution. It also ensures that the right person receives the correct notification, which greatly improves the management of critical incidents.

  ### 19. The outage was alarming, but xMatters made it easier by managing on-call communications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dell R. | DevSecOps engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I am fond of xMatters and the reason is its great automation of the incidents, and smart scheduling of oncalls. It automatically forwards crucial alerts to the concerned individual or group in real-time, therefore, saving invaluable time in the case of an outage. One example is that xMatters can notifyabel the right on call engineer in the event that a server or other service is failing and escalation occurs in case of no response.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

At times the user interface of xMatters may seem slightly complicated at first. It can take a fair amount of learning in order to create pretty specific or complex workflows. It may appear to be slightly costly to small organizations or teams as well. There can also be more flexibility in custom reporting with regard to our specific needs. These are but small matters though.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

xMatters mainly addresses the issue of incident response, which is not organized and delayed. Prior to xMatters, the process of locating the proper on-call individual in case of the system outage was a hectic manual affair. We lost precious time trying to talk to various individuals or refer to obsolete schedules. In this case, xMatters will automatically notify the correct team members depending on their shifts. This severely cuts into our average resolution time during emergency situations. The efficiency of our teams during the outages is much greater as well as their stress is reduced directly.

  ### 20. Effortless Workflow Automation with Extensive Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arash C. | Senior IT Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I appreciate how simple it is to automate workflows, as well as the wide range of integration options available.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

So far, I haven't encountered any significant downsides or issues while using xMatters.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Incident management

  ### 21. xmatters application review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deekonda K. | Senior Software engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

It is very user friendly application for accepting the calls

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

Nothing upto now in the improvement wise

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

it is able to resolve our critical issues in the production support engineering

  ### 22. Our on-call rotations are less of a headache

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Regis R. | Cloud automation engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I am very fond of the fact that xMatters does this automation of our on-calling and incident alerting. It indeed makes sure that the operating team member is signaled whenever a critical issue arises at every given time. The dynamic alerting is a massive success that gives us an opportunity to deliver the targeted messages in a prompt time. It also has strong escalation policies that ensure that consequential alerts can no longer slip through. Complex schedules set up is also easy to us. This has made our general incident response to be much easier.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

The very first configuration of xMatters may be not quite simple. Indeed, it takes a serious effort of configuration of all more integrations. The user interface in some cases does not feel recent relative to the newer platforms. It can be a little clunky to locate certain settings among the depths of the menus as well. Onboarding would be improved with a simpler format.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to xMatters our incidence response used to be pretty chaotic and slow. We had frequent alert storms and it was not easy to make sure that the right person was informed. Today, xMatters will intelligently order urgent notifications to the right on-call engineer that escalates when necessary. This implies that we find solutions to problems a lot quicker and with a lot less effort expended. We also have fewer notifications that are not necessary, and our teams are less burned. It does actually centralize and simplify the whole process of incident communication.

  ### 23. Good for incident response

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anna K. | Network administrator, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I really like how xMatters ensures critical alerts actually reach the right on-call person, following our schedules and escalation policies automatically. The integration capabilities are solid, pulling signals from our monitoring tools and pushing updates to our ticketing systems like ServiceNow. Building custom communication flows for different incident types with the workflow builder is also super helpful for automating steps. It takes the guesswork out of who needs to know about what when something breaks.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

Setting it up can be a bit of a learning curve sometimes, especially configuring complex schedules and workflows initially. And honestly, like most enterprise tools, the pricing model feels a bit steep depending on your scale. The user interface, while functional, isn't always the most modern or intuitive compared to some newer tools out there.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

xMatters is definitely solving the chaos of incident response for us. Before, critical alerts would sometimes get missed or delayed, or we'd waste time figuring out who was on call and how to reach them. Now, alerts hit the right team member immediately, cutting down our response time significantly. This means less downtime for our services and much smoother communication when things go wrong, which saves us a lot of headaches and prevents business impact.

  ### 24. We rely on it to stay organized during outages

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel M. | Operations support analyst, Architecture & Planning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

What I like most about xMatters is how clearly it shows each person’s role in critical situations. It used to be unclear who was supposed to take the lead or step in. Now, how it manages and increases tasks makes it simple to continue without facing delays. It’s great that I can communicate with my team members instantly without having to move to another channel. Because of this, we can react quickly and pay close attention during emergencies.

**What do you dislike about xMatters?**

Building trust in the xMatters notification process takes me a lot more time than I’d like. The reason is that it takes some time to adjust the alerts, and those early errors made some people hesitant to depend on them. There were some issues with the newer team members, who believed some people were not included in the process, which made things more difficult at the beginning.

**What problems is xMatters solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main advantage of using xMatters is how much more organized our responses have become. Spending too much time on who is responsible for each task often caused delays and work that had to be done again. Currently, all the information is included in the alerts, so team members can immediately handle their duties. The process of responding to incidents has become smoother, and we have avoided most of the confusion we used to have.

  ### 25. Less noise and more action with xMatters my experience in general

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Osakue O. | Operations Suppport Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

**What do you like best about xMatters?**

I like xMatters is a saved life. Because in my operating analyst position. I see that a great value is its functions because it filters all the noise and ensures that the alert critical reaches the person who must solve it, at the rigth time.
